Just a normal visit to the market but could it be more than Vann expected?

A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]

He laughed at his words, "Don't worry, I'm not trying to kidnap you or anything." He chuckled as he was pulled along, grasping her hand as she did his so it wouldn't feel like she was dragging him.
Vann kept up with her as she pulled him along, he noticed the man too but kept calm, just one man up against both of them wouldn't be a bit of trouble. "I did." He answered back, "But don't worry, two against one seems like a pretty easy match, even in my state." He reassured her by squeezing her hand slightly with a smile.
"Just in case.." He said before leading her to the canal that was closest to them. "My water glider is about a few yards from here. We can travel on it and reach my house." He stopped, shaking his head, "How rude of me, of course, if that's where you would prefer to go.. I don't want to sound like I'm kidnapping you." He laughed, stopping and letting go of her hand so that she wouldn't feel like he was forcing her. |

Amelia realized that Vann was trying to reassure her, but it wasn’t much considering she was pretty much useless on situations like that. The girl had little to no self-defense skills, horrible with every type of weapon you could offer and on top of that she couldn’t swim or run, making her fragile and defenseless at all times ”actually….it’s one against one, I’m quite useless at times like this” she admitted to him in a laughable manner.
Amelia followed Vann, with a smile; she enjoyed the company even when in the back of her head she was worried about the quite frightening man that seemed to have developed an interest in the two. ”Well, I don’t usually visit a man’s home upon the first meeting” she giggled, hiding the fact she felt rejected when Vann let go of her hand. Amelia was used to men being the ones who try to hold her hand or finding any excuse to be closer to her, now she in slightly changed roles. It felt unusual, but as she was recalling the short time she had spent in Ravok this year, seems like the men here have changed their taste in woman as it was quite hard for Amelia to find someone interested in her.
”…but if we don’t have other places to go, I can make an exception” she explained, softening her voice to a purr once more, she wouldn’t be the one to give up on her habits of flirting ”you’re not going to hurt me, are you?” Amelia teased, more than asked. Vann didn’t look or act like someone who would harm a woman. Then again, it wouldn’t be the first time today that Amelia’s instincts would have betrayed her, after all Vann didn’t seem like a magician either, and she did think he was going to be an easy prey for her charms. |

"If you don't want to go I would totally understand." He smiled, "I mean, I just met you, and now we're running off to my house, it does sound creepy on my part. That or I'm just smooth with the ladies." He laughed at his own sarcasm and then walked back to her as she purred, he could tell she was starting to flirt with him again so he decided to flirt back, "Of course not, love." He said, taking her hand back in his and intertwining their fingers, a slight grin making its way across his lips as he did.
He pulled her to his side and kept her close as he began to lead her slowly to his water glider, "I'm glad you decided to approach me in the bar." His voice was lower but it was sincere, he had sobered up a good bit now but still had the confidence to speak what he thought. "You're beautiful and sweet, it's refreshing." He looked down at her with a warm smile, "I'm honestly at a loss for words for you, I've never been in this situation before." A low chuckle came from his mouth as he thought, "I'm so terrible with girls.. I don't even understand how she is even able to put up with me.." He looked at her after the short laugh, keeping the warm smile and squeezing her hand. |

Amelia chuckled softly at Vann’s statement. He was creeping her out, well he would be creeping her out if she didn’t believe in his honesty. Amelia did quite rarely, not to mention to a complete stranger. She was glad to see him feel this comfortable with her; above all it felt safer to have his fingers tangle with hers.
She didn’t bother playing shy or distant, as much as her father had tried to teach her that a man wants a game and a chase, she never stuck around one man long enough to put the tactic in action. So fast and shameless was usually the right thing to do, you just had to adjust your game for a more timid man, that’s all. ”I’m happy I did, your one of the nicest companies I have had in quite the time” half a lie, she let her whole body lean against Vann ”well if you manage to compliment me this much, you’re not exactly lost, are you?” Amelia chuckled as she felt him squeeze her hand harder. No doubt it felt nice, she wasn’t sure was it because of Vann or was it the pure fact that she was sure the man was charmed by her.
Closing her eyes, thinking over the possibilities, the good she could gain from a nice guy like Vann. Only a few things really came to her mind, one being the magic she wished to see, the others quite meaningless. Making her realize that despite him being this sweet, she didn’t want anything more than that...above all, magic was risky to show in Ravok and she knew it ”You know I don’t want to see it ” words she didn’t expect to say herself. He was far too nice for her to put him under risk. ”I…I think I’ll get going, my father probably is looking for me” she lied, not quite letting go of his hand, probably a habit. |
