Tabby laughed as she just tried to picture a six year old boy holding a big fishing rod. "I was much the same actually, even though I said I only started play at the age of ten my mum always said that I had to learn to care for a Mandolin before I could learn how to play it. So I learned how to tune it and even fit it with new strings before I knew how to play it. Ten was how old I was when I started learning songs and melodies and before I knew it I was writing my own songs." Tabby watch as the dog came over to her, it looked up at her with those big cute puppy eyes. Tabby leaned down and scratched him behind the ears, "No it's fine, he's quite a good looking dog," Tabby smile, "I got your name but not his" she said, still scratching him behind the ears and rubbing his head. He hand by now was covered in dog slobber by now, but she didn't mind. At Ricky's question Tabby's eyes fell to the floor and her smiled disappeared, "I didn't know him very well, he had left when I was born so I never got to know him. I think he was a sailer, like your father. For all I know he could even be dead by now like my mother.", a small tear started to trickle out from her eye but she quickly wiped it away and changed the subject. Forcing a smile she asked "So you're a fisherman, does that mean you live here? At Zeltiva?" |
