Dreams of Destiny

First Day of Fall, 512 AV

When Talulah woke up, or to word it better, came to consciousness, she felt very confused. "I just fell asleep, how is it light out already?" she wondered to herself. As she blinked open her eyes, she muttered to herself in puzzled awe, "What in the name of Rhysol?!" She wasn't in her tent in camp anymore but laying against a tree in the middle of a forest. She looked around but couldn't see any of her belongings anywhere, not even Jewel. As she stood up, Talulah discovered, that her boots were gone. To her dismay, she realized her gloves were missing too.

Talulah rubbed her curse mark as though if she rubbed hard enough it would come off. She walked around her tree then started wandering around. There was no sign of people or life, other than the normal forest sounds and every tree looked the same to her. After a few minutes of searching, she had no idea how far she had gone from the first tree or even where it was. She tugged on her hair in frustration and kicked a tree. "I'm petching lost! And I don't even know how I got here in the first place!" She yelled to the sky.

Talulah turned around to continue wandering around and froze when she saw a huge wolf in the distance. Her last experience with wolves was not that good to say the least and she stumbled backward as she tried to get as far away as possible. But the wolf did not draw any closer to her. It only raised its head and looked into her fright filled eyes with its piercing blue ones. It was almost as if the wolf was looking right into her with its stare. For a moment, so quickly she wasn't even sure it happened, she was seeing through the wolves eyes. She could see her frightened self watching her - no not her, watching the wolf, - warily. Then, she snapped back to her own body and it slowly turned and ran away from her. She was scared and didn't want to follow it but felt compelled to and thus had no choice but to run after the wolf with the beautiful blue eyes.

Dreams of Destiny

Postby Talulah on November 24th, 2012, 9:08 pm

Talulah had been running after the wolf for a while, but she had no idea how to tell how long. The trees and forest all looked the same so she had no idea even how far she'd chased it. Despite how long she had been running, she wasn't tired or sweaty at all. But she didn't think about that. She just thought about the wolf and catching it, though she had no idea what she would do then.

While she was chasing this wolf, Talulah was seeing like she had been before they started running. But this time, the wolf's view of the world was see-through, a mere image over her own vision. Every now and then, the wolf's view would become the dominant one and for that period of time, she felt almost as if she were a part of the wolf, like they were linked.

Talulah snapped back to reality, only seeing from her own eyes now, as she skidded to a stop as she came to the edge of some hill or cliff. But the wolf kept running. She was looking down into a valley at some city. The wolf kept running towards the city and she froze, remembering when something very simaler had happened. She gulped and wished she could somehow stop the wolf but there was no way for her to get down to where it was. "How did it get down there anyway...?" she wondered as the wolf ran under the trees and disappeared from view.

Dreams of Destiny

Talulah watched the edges of the trees carefully for the wolf, waiting and watching for it to come out. But what came out was not a wolf but a naked man, emerging from the edge of the trees closest to the city. Having run into kelvics during her travels, she wondered aloud, "Is this the same creature..." As though to answer her question, the man looked over his shoulder and into her eyes with the same piercing blue ones as the wolf.

Talulah sighed in relief, knowing no innocent people would be killed by this wolf today. She sat on the edge with her legs hanging over and swinging in the air. She watched the wolf-man to see what he would do, unsure as to why he led her here or why she was here or even where here was. The wolf-man looked back towards the city and kept running, staying a man and never changing back to the wolf form. As he reached the city gate, he seemed to disappear into the walls. But, for a just a second, she swore she saw the wolf again.

Dreams of Destiny

Postby Talulah on November 28th, 2012, 2:19 pm

Talulah stared at the city in the distance and wondered what to do now. But...

Suddenly Talulah found herself in the city. She gasped and started to suspect this wasn't entirely real. But she only thought that for a second because as she started walking she made an odd discovery. The roads seemed to be...lined with fur? Or made of it? "This is petching weird..." she muttered as she walked down the furry street. She turned a corner and noticed a light on in a house. Hoping she would find help or explanations there, she started running in that direction.

Talulah shrieked and flailed as the road suddenly turned to ice. As she fell on her rear, the buildings around her changed, though she didn't notice until she sat up and looked around. "What the petching shyke?! Who the petch is doing this?!" she shouted angrily as she tried to crawl forward without falling. There was no answer. But as she crawled, the road behind her turned to dirt and the road underneath her disappeared. She screamed as she fell into the dark pit...

And then woke up.
