Who would have thought? [Penn Zay]

Amelia looked down at the girl’s shorts and was getting more and more confused by the girl. How could once travel with so little clothes on them when fall had started? It’s usually no less than a blink of an eye before one starts to freeze to death, since winter is right around the corner. ”Was this girl even sane? “ Amelia wondered to herself, not letting the judgmental emotion show on her face as she was speaking ”that’s some attire you have” Amelia tried her best to form it as a joke.

She didn’t want to think of the things that could dwell inside the caves depths, therefore the girls speech forced Amelia to become a bit frightened from the inside ”I’m not prepared for a life outside a city, I was traveling with companies but they left for the city of Nyak, It’s less than a day to get to Ravok, so I assumed I’d be fine without them” she explained, playing with her own fingers out of being nervous. Countless ideas of how to calm herself down where crawling around her head, but she could think of any while the occasional thunder scared her even more. She could even feel shivers run up and down her spine as she was doing it. ”and yes, I am quite scared…I get scared even from mice none the less the monsters out here” she laughed it off, trying to state everything as a joke and hide the clear fright in herself. Fauna seemed to notice this and got up from her spot at the end of the cave, coming by Amelia and laying down there, pushing her spotted head against Amelia’s trying to reassure her.

”but you know, you don’t look like someone who could fight off a monster” she tried to sound anything but rude, sadly she had little luck there as her voice was rather judgmental and maybe even skeptical of the girls powers and skills in the wild lands. Amelia even earned a harder push from Fauna in her shoulder, the horse was stating that she was being rude, but Amelia wouldn’t apologize, that just wasn’t her.

Penn simply giggled at Amelia as she commented on her attire... Did she really look that odd? Sure winter was around the corner, but she was usually in her other form... Then again, no-one really knew of her... Skill...

Then she heard the girl speak about how she was ill-prepared for being outside of a city! That was how Penn had recently been living... In the wildlands! Sure it was dangerous, but she managed to look after herself and feed herself!

"Trust me, I'm very well equipped for fighting monsters... Although I don't think you'd really want to see my... Methods..." she grinned slightly, her almost abnormally long canines protruding from her mouth. "And anyway, I think we're the only ones in here, so dear Amelia, you are safe!" Penn smiled at the girl. "I don't mean to be rude, but how old are you?" she said with a slight smile... The woman looked so young! She couldn't be much older than 23!

A slight bit of horror crept on Amelia’s face as she heard the girl mention her methods, she was hopping that there wouldn’t be a need for her to see that kind of thing. None the less on herself, if it wasn’t for the girls pleasant voice she’d be more than terrified from her, despite Penn’s horribly cute and innocent appearance. And then it happened, she saw her grin in a manner that would put a monster to shame, her teeth where bigger than she’d seen on any human and she couldn’t really put her finger on it, but she recalled of a race that held this characteristic, something her father had through her about. But despite her intense attempts to recall it, she couldn’t really remember it and so, gave up.

Unnaturally for Amelia, she blushed at the sudden question of age. She couldn’t see a valid reason for someone to ask this, none the less a woman. Did Amelia look too young to travel? Or even worse, did she look that old? She was confused and wasn’t sure to consider this a compliment or mock ”I’m…20 years of age…” she answered with slight hesitation and doubt in her tone ”I know a woman in my age should be thinking of family…but I do only traveling back and forth from Syliras and Ravok, a life of a fortune teller I assume” she explained, feeling a bit more in her comfort zone as she mentioned fortune telling, that after all was her passion, undeveloped and most of it self-thought, but a passion none the less.

”what about you? Don’t you have a lover waiting for you back where your mother lives?” she asked the question that would normally seem to be out of line, but she couldn’t really care less in a setting like this. They weren’t in a ball; they were in a cave out in the wilderness, at a place like this, manners where nice but not a thing to be all that aware of.

Penn listened to the woman, a slight smile on her face as she heard her mention fortune telling... Was that her trade? It probB was... She looked like a fortune teller!
"Fortune telling sounds fun!" she declared, before glancing around. "Family? I see no use in holing yourself up with people when there is a whole world just waiting to be explored! And anyway, I don't tend to stay in the same place all that much..." Penn found herself grinning slightly...
Hers was a life of freedom, a life with very few responsibilities, and even fewer worries! If she decided to stick around with people then she would lose that freedom! Especially if they found out what blood ran through her veins!

Her mother had told her never to spend too much time with the same person or she would develop an attachment to that person!
Thay was something she didn't want to do!

Speaking of what she loved was always nice, and a chance to speak about the wonderful trade of Fortune telling was an amazing chance to speak about a thing she loved most. ”Indeed, fortune telling is a skill worth developing and it is one of the most useful skills, if you don’t count crafting, that could bring you good pay” Amelia explained as she pulled her hand in her black purse, pulling out a deck of tarot ”if you want, I could read you a fortune, we don’t have much to do anyway….free of charge” offering her skills for free was never a thing she considered, but this would be a practice and so, why not?

”traveling is fun, I think it would be amazing to see the wonderful things around the lands…especially Avanthal…but I am far too fragile for that” she explained, for Amelia it was actually a dream to have a family and settle down, but she had no luck finding a man that would take her seriously. Then again, traveling and studying was also a dream, above all, Avanthal was magical and it held such beauty ”and I do wish to have a family” she explained, a bit of sadness in her voice as her hearth craved for knowledge and travel.
