[5th day of fall] [512.a.v.] [early morning] Amelia had told her farewells to the good men that she was traveling with just yesterday. Unlike Amelia, they were heading towards Nyak and even though she would love to see that city once in her short lifetime, she was not prepared for such long traveling through the wilderness when you don’t even have proper roads is out of her reach. But not for those men, they are clearly skilled and if it wasn’t for them, she’d be long dead. Above all else, she promised to see her father this fall, and she has been traveling the whole season of summer in order to reach Ravok. Now it was just one days ride and she would enter the city that belonged to Rhysol himself. The thought of the god never put the girl in easy, something in it always scared her, but in the same time, she always held the biggest of respect to the god of evil. ”So what do you think Fauna, will the city hold the same restrictions to you they did the last time?” Amelia laughed as she ran her long pale fingers through her beloved horse’s mane, not earning any response from her. The horse was getting tiered from the intense ridding that has been done in the past days, even the little rest they had in a inn not so long ago wasn’t much help.”Sorry for all of this dear, I promise that once we get to the city, I will groom you to death and spoil you” she giggled with a small mock in her voice, earning a neigh from the horse. The moment was peaceful and everything looked good, not a cloud in the sky until a huge blast of thunder scared bout Amelia and Fauna. The horse was in horror and so was the girl, it was a minutes notice until the sky had turned dark and it was hard to tell that it was the very morning of the day. ”looks like the weather isn’t in our favor, let’s find a place to rest while this weather goes away” Amelia spoke, it had been a well-developed habit of hers to speak with Fauna, even if the horse couldn’t answer her, this way she at least felt like she has some company. Soft drops of rain had begun falling from the sky, it wasn’t pouring but it still made traveling hard and so the girl’s happiness was hard to be hidden when she spotted a cave not far from the road of the North Kobrin road. The mud was a bit slippery and Fauna had almost fallen 3 times before they reached the cave. Amelia jumped off Fauna and led them bout inside, the cave wasn’t deep but it looked like a few travelers had used this cave for shelter. ”lucky us, eh?” she laughed and toke the saddlebags and saddle off the horse and dropping them on the ground. ”I’ll find some wood, you stay here” She explained pulling the hood of her cloak over her head before she left the cave and began looking around for some usable wood. It was quite the challenging task considering the weather wasn’t in her favor. |
