Justus is a third cousin of Astrid, former captain of Denval, and became an acolyte of Nikali when his man-making ended with a mark of favor from the goddess. Since that time he had lived within the Temple of Nikali, and grown to manhood on the fast track toward a strong advisory position for Denval. More than capable as a courtesan, he was even more important as a confidant of the Captain and much respected voice within the community.
After Denval's destruction he assisted in the pilgrimage to Zeltiva, and intends to lend his skills toward Nikali's will in his new home. Home is not a physical place, but an invisible place within the eyes of all mislead men and women. This place can be found anywhere in the world.
The first thing one notices about him is, of course, his striking good looks, however they are soon eclipsed by the compassion and empathy in his hazel eyes. One finds it difficult to believe that he desires anything save the best for whomever he meets, and all find it easy to place their trust in him to make everything all right again.

Born into a nuclear family with a military background, Adarin spent his childhood learning the way of the sword in the Academy, and from his father. Inheriting the patriotism of his parents, he grew to think of Denval as the very blood that coursed through his veins, and focused all his passion on the Mizaharian settlement. Prone to temper tantrums, and angry outbursts, Adarin found it difficult to make friends as a child. His social skills were not helped by a combat training accident, in which he lost an eye by the sword.
When he was seventeen, an Inartan criminal who had sought sanctuary in Denval after fleeing Wind Reach, set fire to a house as part of his diversionary tactics. That house was Adarin's. The seventeen year old was out training the evening of the fire, and when he returned his parents were dead. The criminal was caught and tried with Denvali justice, but Adarin's hatred for outsiders began to flourish.
Pursuing a nationalist agenda, Adarin continued to train, and joined the ranks of Sentinel. He would never call them friends, but they formed an ideology together nevertheless. Denval was once isolated by the cataclysmic Valterrian, and Adarin would like to see the settlement to return to that state. There have been incidents, where he has been involved in fights with non-Denvali natives, but thus far, nothing has come of them.
Adarin had begun to bolster support for his cause and due to recent upheaval in Denval has risen in Sentinel rank to full leadership, when tragedy struck. Now his ambitions have brought him to Zeltiva, leading an adept group of refugees.

Miranda was born to a single mother in Denval, a woman who made a living through prostitution. It was through her that Miranda learned to use her feminine charms to her advantage, though she turned her back on her mother with disgust as she grew older, casting her aside and twisting her skills for her own means.
Cold of heart, she can be vicious and cruel. She cares little for those around her, only herself, so that she may attain some position of power and luxury.
Miranda's father had been an Isur, and had abandoned her mother the moment she was born. This made her feel uncomfortable around outsiders, and the feelings grew into anger as a young adult, ultimately leading her to following Adarin and inciting a true change.

Denvali born Fortis maintained a lucrative healing shop independent of clinic in Denval, exclusively serving native Denvali. However, upon Denval's destruction and the death of his wife and two daughters he abandoned his desires to gain money and began to put his skills toward preserving the remaining Denvali refugees and specifically keeping his closest friend Adarin healthy so that he could work as refugee captain.
He is a harsh Denvali man that has little patience for that which he is not already familiarized with. He has possibly the best surviving knowledge of traditional Denvali medicine in the world, however as of this date the University representatives have had little luck extracting any useful information from the man.
