Stretching northward along the coastline of the Suvan Sea, the Cobalt Mountains are the home of the Bronze Wood, numerous ruins, and creatures both strange and fantastical.

The Morning Star

Nestled deep within the Cobalt Mountains, the Morning Star is not an inn, or a traveler’s lodge. Those that are in desperate need of it simply come across it more often than not. Located in a docile meadow and surrounded by a very well tended garden, the sight of a humble handmade cottage in such hostile territory is definitely strange. Indeed, there are no signs of damage on the house’s walls. The Balicani do not attack the Morning Star; they protect it.

Starving travelers are often led to the home by winking fireflies or pressing birds, and the hostess of the house always knows when guests are coming. Those that have the good fortune of finding the Morning Star are met with hot food, gentle company, and a soft bed to sleep in.

Name: Andromeda

Gender: Female

Race:
Syna Ethaefal (Human seeming)

Appearance: As an Ethaefal, Andromeda retains the rapturous beauty that marks the rest of her race, with shimmering marble skin tinted with dusky gold, iridescent, gently curving horns, radiant silver hair, and a large, but beautiful body.

As a human, her hair remains silver, but it’s the silver of a woman in her sixties. She goes from beautiful to dumpy, albeit in a cheerful-looking way, and her skin becomes tan and wrinkled. Andromeda’s human seeming may not be as entrancing to look at as her daytime counterpart, but she seems, and is, as compassionate and kind in either one.

A doting, empathetic old woman, or radiant being, depending on the bell, with a love for nature and people, and a great desire to achieve oneness, and to help others achieve it as well. Andromeda happily welcomes folks of all races and walks of life into her home, and asks nothing in return for shelter from the mountains.
