Race: Human
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Languages: Common - Fluent
Birth Date: 17th Winter 483
Physical Appearance:
• Andaras isn't giant in stature but he possesses a very toned, powerful and impeccable physique. He has short, trimmed stubble and a coarse rugged facial structure yet he has a slightly innocent and juvenile element. He stands 5'10 and is quite, naturally broad. He has a long flourishing waterfall of brown, chocolate hair. He has mysterious, mystical amethyst irises that gleam subtly; an heirloom of his family, a dominant gene passed down throughout six generations.
Character Concept:
• Andaras is not a silent warrior nor reclusive exactly but he prefers to withhold his tongue when he can, although prone to rambling on occasion (Rarely does he come into contact with long-term compatriots). He has a motif of regular sarcastic, satrical insults, puns and jokes but it is not meant to be malicious. Any real verbal contempt is demonstrated by a searingly cold tone, the most minute twitch in his nose and a contemptuous glare from his vivid purple eyes.
• In situations that provide an ethos of tension, threat and adrenaline he tries to solve it via a compilation of intimidation and persuasion yet he kept a taught frame ready to explode at the first sign of anything wrong.
• Intently fascinated by Astronomy and History. He is perplexed by the intricate, dark mysteries of the pure white opalescent beacons in the black void and the ancient, enticing origins of his people and he would be incredibly aggravated and distressed by passing up an attempt at discovering more. He also has a minor fascination with music, inspired by the violent beats and fluid notes. Literature inspires the young man and carries several books he plans on using as a creative release.
Andaras’ History:
Early history:
Andaras was born into stable family in Taldera. Andaras’ father was a potent warrior and led a small band of benevolent mercenaries to the bidding of their patrons. From a young age Andaras as taught the basics of battle, yet his father, knowing the effectiveness of persuasion and intimidation taught his son the art of speech. At the age of fifteen Andaras’ father was slain and many of his band left too without his leadership. Some though remained and provided care and support for Andaras’ mother and siblings. One of his father's oldest friends began teaching the children the art of battle in more depth; anxious to ensure that they have the best chance of survival in a world wrought with pain and violence.
Post-Adolescence:
As soon as he was of age he left his dwelling to pursue his adventure and wanderlust. His family was disgusted at his decision and utterly rejected him. He left the place of his birth, bestowed with a sword crafted for him by one of his father's friends. He found living in such circumstances far harder than he previously assumed, especially as his skills were over looked on account of his youth. He managed to find himself an occupation in a tavern as a bartender. During a winter's night three four mercenaries were stranded there. The leader of the band became incredibly rowdy and began relentlessly pestering several waitresses. Andaras stepped in, first attempting to douse their anger with calm yet threatening words. However it only fuelled the flame into a searing inferno. Andaras managed to pummel one of them before weapons were drawn. A casualty was sustained on the side of mercenaries including several permanent and temporary injuries of varying severity. Andaras came very close to experiencing oblivion that night. Andaras’ tale spread about the local towns and his reputation took a generous inflation. He also developed a keen mutual affection for one of the waitresses and forged a strong relationship. After that event Andaras kept his blade 'The Starwind' behind the bar whenever he was on duty.
Mid-Twenties to Current Date:
Andaras asked her to come with him but she was tied to her family and was very reluctant to leaving. Andaras still wished to travel; his wanderlust was far from satiated by his short travelling period before coming to the tavern. He left both his job and her behind in the night without a farewell. That adjacent morning several miles from what was his life for several years he encountered a band of mercenaries. Whimpering beside his superior was the leader of the band that caused so much commotion, all of them eager for revenge after taking such a blow to their notoriety. Ambushed and outnumbered Andaras managed to escape by slaying two and sustaining a wound in his abdomen. He, once again almost succumbed to death but managed through the kindness of a travelling caravan to avert the disaster. He repaid the debt by serving as a guard. He left a month later and continued on his journey. His life recently has begun to loose meaning and he craves adventure, knowledge and a legacy.

The Silver Serpent (Heirloom):
A beautifully crafted, small pendant of a ferocious sea monster's roaring maw and face. Giant razor teeth glare, and rippling mountain ridges line the edges of its draconic, malicious face. It belonged to Andaras’ father and was with the warrior when he died. Several, tiny, barely noticeable spots of dried blood remain in the crevices of the silver. It was stolen by Andaras when he left his home to remind him of his father. It hangs about his neck beneath his clothes via a small, cheap leather chord. It is the possession he cherishes most and with the exception of Starwind it's the only item he is nostalgic about.
