10th Winter, 512 A.V.
As soon as the ship docked in Sunberth and Hadrian could get away, he did. He walked through the streets where only last season he had caused an uproar with illusions and elemental magics. His travels took him to a familiar inn in a familiar part of town, and due to the time of day, the common rooms were busy, which distracted innkeeper and his wife, so the young enchanter ascended the stairs on his own and knocked on the door of the room he had rented for the young amnesiac.
"Kasai," he called through the door. "It is I, Hadrian. I have returned. Please, if you are still here, open the door."
As simple as that, he kept his promise. He could only hope that Kasai had made wise use of the coin Hadrian had left with the innkeeper and his wife to cover his expenses for an indeterminate amount of time.
"Kasai?"
Gods willing, all would be well.
