Name: Lenalia "Lena" Sabriel
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Age: 15
Birthday: 3rd Day of Winter, 497 AV
Personality
At best, Lena Sabriel is innocent, not having had to worry about much for most of her young life. At worst, she can be considered slightly naive. Lena is a quiet girl. She has spent most of her life simply trying not to be underfoot, and watching her sisters and her brother excel. Being much younger than her other siblings, and not having many friends to play with as a child, Lena turned to her drawings for company. She can often be found sketching or reading, and isn't overly fond of stressful situations.
That said, Lena is actually extremely curious, and loves to learn. She hates not knowing things, and when something interesting comes up that she doesn't understand, she does her best to answer those questions. She has a sharp mind and the potential to be a great scholar someday, but because she's always felt overshadowed by her siblings, she doesn't know it yet. She isn't very confident in her own strength and abilities, preferring to believe that she's simply average, however, coming to Zeltiva and being away from her family's influence has allowed her to open up. Independence has been good for her--Lena is growing more confident by the day. But she's still young, and only time will tell how she develops from here.
History
Lena was born into a life of privilege. Born into a wealthy family in Syliras as the youngest of four children, Lena has never really had to want for anything, the catch being that nothing was really ever expected of her either. With one brother and one sister in the knighthood and another sister studying trade, Lena was mostly left to her own devices. She was sent to the University of Zeltiva in the Summer of 512 to study whatever caught her interest, and she chose art, learning calligraphy and painting and improving on her drawing skills in the Fall season.
But it was while she was studying art, working on her drawings and paintings, that Lena started getting interested in other things. She would always see them as she sketched in the Scholar's Forum--students from the College of Scholars, carrying books back and forth, or discussing things she didn't quite understand. Curiosity got the better of her, and as Fall began to fade into Winter, she started getting an idea.
