She fiercely defends who and what she calls her own, and is by no means stupid, with intelligence and cunning that can match any human. She isn't shy, naive, or innocent; Imala is bold and unsubtly curious. Any friends she has she holds onto hard and fast. Her mouth has almost no filter from her thoughts to what she says, and she's rejected by many of the Drykas, though she has accepted that she will never really be part of her pavilion. The striders shy and avoid her, and she's seen as more of a hunting pet by her clan and pavilion. She loves running and hunting - the two things she does best by grace of her true form. Appearance Imala almost appears to be like a normal Drykas at first glance. She could pass as one, too, if it weren't for the patches of hair that grow a vivid green, the same colour as her feathers in her true form. Her skin is golden brown with a clear complexion, Standing at the coltish height of 6'1" and weighing 170lbs, Imala is very athletic. She has pale, green-grey eyes and long neck, and matching her true form, she's hairless on her face, legs, chest, and neck. Her long legs give her an advantage in running, and she can run at 20 mph comfortably, being able to sprint even faster. Her hair is often long and loose, but Imala can also be seen wearing it in one or multiple braids. She wears loose brown trousers and a bright green shirt, marking her as part of the emerald clan, but the most obvious factor of her non-Drykan status is the small, green leather collar around her neck. In her true form, as a glassbeak, she stands at 7'5" and she 290lbs. Her feathers are a vivid emerald green, matching her pavilion colours. She has a razor sharp, translucent beak and talons. Imala is only allowed in this form when she's to go hunting. Three times a season, her feathers turn indigo, an obvious sign that she's in estrus. The normally green parts of her hair also changes at the same time. History Imala was born to two kelvic in the Starsong pavilion of the Topaz clan. For the first few days of her life, Imala was cared for by her mother, a soft hunting dog named Presta. Everything changed the first time she shifted. Suddenly, Presta's dear baby was a glassbeak chick, running rampant and causing a scare. She was caught, and was almost killed until a clever Plainstrider in the Emerald clan thought of a better use for her. She was given to them and raised in the family, training from an early age as a Hunt Assist animal in the Hunter's Allegiance.
