Lopeus was satisfied with how the event unfolded. Not only was the barbarian shopkeeper dealt with, but Lithan had also proved that he can be trusted. That might prove to be good and also quite useful in the long run. He gave a slight nod and continued on, evading the looks from the crowd. This time, however, he was able to move amongst the people avoiding nearly any and all contact with a grin.
I assume we do have a certain destination?
He asked and kept moving. While walking, he didn't hesitate giving a look to the surroundings, thus remembering the way they're going just in case. The scene that probably would've shocked him, had he before been to any other town, left him dead cold. So many lost people aimlessly wandering around, barely surviving off of cons and robberies. As they passed through each district, he would occasionally sense rotten smells and he was sure he even saw a few corpses on the way. Were he able to, he would probably have mixed feelings of hate and sorrow towards this town and it's inhabitants. He didn't feel either of those. He saw sheep that have long lost their shepherd, a highly controllable mass of people with questionable intelligence.
With that thought, he stopped thinking about it. He scared himself a little, that superior way of thinking was unknown to his mind, and he felt a slight headache afterwards. This is the first time he actually pondered anything at all since waking up and being found by Lithan.
