An inland sea created by Ivak's cataclismic fury during the Valterrian, the Suvan Sea is a major trade route and the foremost hub for piracy in Mizahar. [lore]

The tower itself is actually pre-Valterrian, though nobody knows anymore who built it. Presumably the Myrians since they were prominent in this area, but it could have been one of their many sister tribes that just didn't make it. Whoever did intended it to be a small fortress, as the subterranean storerooms are large enough to stock half a season's worth of supplies for a garrison of thirty to fifty soldiers. Belowground is also where the barracks is situated, leaving the main floors free for fighting and practice. The walls are thick and sturdy even after five centuries, and the door and pivot are both made of thick stone - a further testament to the construction - with a series of iron bolts ready to be slid into place should they need to withstand an attack. This tower was built to be protected.

Whoever the constructors were, the Myrians use it now. The tower sits right on the coast, by chance next to a small inlet for boats and the like. It is not a port, but it does offer a convenient location for seafarers to drag their boats onto the sandy beach for a day or two and trade with the Myrians in the tower, who stock more than just food in their storerooms. The Svefra in particular come to this outpost to trade for new sails and wood from the nearby jungle to repair their boats, and since there are so many a visit from the children of the sea is quite frequent. Many things can be bought there, the outpost being an established point of trade, and don't worry about the straightforward Myrians haggling their prices.

It is a little ironic that a structure built for war is used for trade, but that is not to say that the tower does not see its fair share of violence. Being a small isolated trading hub, it is often the target of bandit raids and the like, gangs of men and women who would like to take easy pickings. It is then that the iron bolts are slid shut and the bandits realize just how well the ancient architects of the tower built this place. At its closest point, the jungle edge is at least seventy feet from the tower, so there is plenty of open ground to cover with the tower's archers shooting the whole way, and those who come by sea find it no easier as the top has a wide open view of the entire horizon. It is a convenient outpost for the reestablishing Myrian empire to trade across the water.

Note: Mod permission is only required if you are looking into the tower's history. Otherwise free to play.
