The sun had not yet risen when Nastaran woke up and prepared Hansuul for riding. A chill was in the air and she welcomed the warmth of her new cloak. Nastaran climbed onto Hansuul's back, laying on his neck as he made his way towards the openness outside of the moving city. A faint light was in the distance and Nastaran turned Hansuul to move towards it as they left the city's boundaries. Her father had stressed that she not go far and she did not plan on it, but she did plan on catching some animals to sell in the market and getting in a good run with Hansuul.
Nastaran decided to start with the run and the minute she expressed it Hansuul lunged forward. His hooves beat into the ground and his speed increased. The wind whipped about them as the sun crested the horizon and struck them with light. Nothing could bring Nastaran more happiness then this moment. It was like her soul had been reborn like the new dawn. But as the moment passed, Hansuul slowed to a trot, ears pricked and listening to their surroundings. His rider was doing the same, eyes keen for movement of any kind as she readied her bow. Suddenly Hansuul jerked and Nastaran followed his movement with the tip of her arrow. A rabbit skipped in the distance, a flash of brown and white. Nastaran released the arrow, watching as it sailed and struck it's target. She smiled with pride, her skills were improving with this daily hunts. As she dismounted and went to retrieve the rabbit, the sound of something approaching caught her attention and she quickly prepared an arrow and returned to Hansuul's side.
