Nai'a comes upon the Jade Pool and decides to take a dip into its depths, after all she is alone, right?

While Sylira is by far the most civilized region of Mizahar, countless surprises and encounters await the traveler in its rural wilderness. Called the Wildlands, Syliran's wilderness is comprised of gradual rolling hills in the south that become deep wilderness in the north. Ruins abound throughout the wildlands, and only the well-marked roads are safe.

As Aello finished speaking of shooting her down at the water edge, Nai'a's body loosened from its tensed stance. The woman had a point to an extent. If Aello wanted her dead, then she would of done it already, unless she liked to toy with her victims before dealing the death blow. Nai'a shook her head softly from side to side, her heightened hearing picking up a faint whisper on the wind. At first she thought she was just hearing things, so she just frowned and mentally shrugged it off. Then the faint voice became more persistent, more rushed. She could barely make out the audible voice on the wind, but it sounded a bit panicked.

Nai'a was standing there with an emotionless face as she listened to the whispering wind, she noticed that Aello was standing with the same emotionless face, except that her pupils were dilating and she was talking to the wind faintly. Maybe I am not the only crazy one here, I wonder if it has something to do with that weird green water? Nai'a thought to herself, with a single brow raised in speculation.

Then Aello stopped gazing off in the distance and come back to focus on what seemed like Nai'a. Then Aello looked at her asking her if she heard "him." She did not technically hear "him" what ever "him" was. So she answered Aello honestly.

"I do not know for sure, being a Kelvic I have a heightened sense of hearing. I can not make out this "hims" words, it just sounds like a faint whispered voice being carried on the wind. What exactly is "him" anyways?" Nai'a asked utterly perplexed as to what this "him" creature could be. Her face scrunched up in an endearing frown as she tried to solve out the question for herself in her head, as she waited on the reply of Aello.

[Jade Pool] Swimming in the Wilds

Aello's eyes sparkled as her lips curled into a far more curious grin. One that betrayed her mounting level of amusement. "None would expect you to," the huntress responded. Her tone soft. Somewhat playful. The bright sun reflected in the dark recesses of her pupils, causing them to seem all the more bewitching as she spoke. "The tones of the dead are always the same however. Faint, for they are fleeting; leaving." She paused for a moment as though considering her own words. "You have never encountered a ghost before," she added, although it seemed more a statement than a question...

OOCThought it may help if I posted next, even if it is frightfully short.

[Jade Pool] Swimming in the Wilds

Postby Nai'a on January 11th, 2013, 11:40 pm

The dead!? Ghosts!? Has this lady lost her mind!? Nai'a looked at Aello perplexed and a little frightened. She wondered if she was dealing with a crazy lady, after all she did have a clay doll that talked. Nai'a was new to this type of world, this type of atmosphere. Her father, not blood father, never really exposed her to the dead or clay dolls whom talked. This was over whelming and new, Nai'a could not help put secretly pinch herself. When the pain blossomed on the underside of her arm, she knew she was not dreaming. This was all real, and happening before her. Sometimes reality was just frightening, at least with dreams you can escape, wake yourself up. Nai'a sighed and looked at the woman, she did not look crazy, fierce, but not crazy. She decided to abandon her thoughts, they were leading her no where, only socializing would get the questions in her mind answered.

No I have never met a ghost before, or clay dolls that talked. This is weird to say the least. Do you live out here? Is this where you call home? Can I make a clay doll that speaks? Have you ever killed someone with that bow? Is the ghost still here or has he drifted away? Do you have any friends or family that lives with you? What are you doing with that bow, hunting?

After asking her a million questions, Nai'a inhaled a deep breath into her lungs, as she forgot to breath during the interrogation of sorts. The cold air seemed to crush her lungs, and she coughed a little, moving closer to the fire to warm her chilled body. She sat down on one of the rocks closest to the fire, as she awaited Aello's response to all her questions, she hoped that she did not annoy or disrespect her in anyway, she was just overwhelmed by curiosity.

The huntress chuckled, her fist tightening around her father's old bow as the light found the darker recesses of her eyes. "You could say that we all do," she commented simply, allowing a small shrug to grace her shoulders. "I suppose you could. Lily is an alchemical creation. Her whole race is, although, I haven't made one myself." The huntress paused as the wind blew, rustling her chestnut colored mane.

"The ghost has blinked again, fled, with all the forest animals we've been hunting," Aello continued before she ran her free hand through her hair. "Why don't you come with us, at least for the day? Some food in your belly is like to warm you just as the fire would. If not the movement through the trees."

She smiled. "You just have to be quiet though," Aello added as she turned away before thinking better of it and casting a wary glance at the fire. "It should be fine to leave it, the stones should save it from the wind, and if it decides to spread, the water and rock should quell it."

The aurist turned back around and walked along the length of stone. Not quite sure what she was looking for. "Come," she whispered, into the wind.

OOCBleh, sorry about the awful and short posts.

P.S. I know she asked more, but I don't think Aello would answer, or make it clear that she had...

[Jade Pool] Swimming in the Wilds

Postby Nai'a on January 14th, 2013, 7:47 am

Nai'a looked at the mysterious brown headed woman, with wonder dancing in her dark grey eyes. She answered, yet did not answer anything, how perplexing. Nai'a chuckled softly. She was already becoming fond of the woman, even though she didn't know her. She supposed that is how she preferred it though, people not knowing her true self. There was a lot of people like that in the world, that kept their true soul guarded, under lock and key. Nai'a understood the need for such measures, as the world had a dark side to it, a evil lurking in the shadows.

Nai'a could not help but to still be wary of the woman though, being a slave, if only for 6 months, had made her this way. She learned in that time that looks were deceiving and the nicest were poison to your soul if you were not careful of your trust. If it wasn't for the short time she had with her former bond mate, she would be so cold and callous. As it were she was a soft hearted individual that gave everyone a chance to show their soul, no matter how evil they may seem on the outside, or how mysterious they portrayed themselves to be.

Aello looked down at her small fire, telling her it should be fine. All the same she did not want to harm nature, and kicked some cold sand on the warm fire. Letting it sputter and die out, removing the comforting warmth that it gave off. She watched the mysterious woman turn and walk along the stones, before calling "come" to the wind. Nai'a's brows furrowed, she wasn't sure she was speaking to her or the wind, she thought it a little odd, but turned to put her things in her back pack, slinging it over her shoulder as she followed the woman on the path, coming up behind her.

I would love to hunt with you, I will be quiet I promise. I am not used to hunting in the woods though, the water is my hunting ground. But I will do my best to assist you in anyway that I can. Nai'a gave Aello a warm smile as she watched her look towards the wind. Awaiting the woman's answer, hoping that she would still let her come, even though she had no experience in wilderness hunting.

OOCquality over quantity any day. And that is fine, she has a mysterious personality, so it only intrigues my character, and strokes her curiosity to find out more lol.

[Jade Pool] Swimming in the Wilds

Aello nodded her understanding. "It is not much different I'd imagine," the huntress began as her brow furrowed. "Although, I couldn't truly say. Haven't been fishing since I was a little girl, and from what I recall, I wasn't particularly good." She paused for a moment, gathering her words as she moved around a tree. Falling with the gentle downwards slope of the soil. Her fist tightening around the bow as her eyes scanned the terrain. "Just trust your senses, as you might when you are swimming," the huntress whispered. "What you hear, and what you see." She paused for a moment, and swept her hand out at the area directly surrounding them. "So tell me Nai, what is it that you see?" she inquired, as her own mind painted a picture for her- trees with white bark and lines of grey. Furled, peeling away from the tree's flesh. Thin scratch marks lining some of their undersides, along with crackled and dried leaves. A deep brown, beneath which she knew some fading marks rested. Sunlight kissing them all as it filtered through the spaces between the barren tree branches.

And there were smells too. Mainly of the earth. Dirt, but the huntress wondered if Nai's nose was all that much stronger. If she could smell pine, dung, piss, sleeping animals even. Tucked away for their long periods of hibernation, and much needed rest.

OOCYay!

[Jade Pool] Swimming in the Wilds

Postby Nai'a on January 15th, 2013, 1:40 am

She looked at Aello and nodded at her words, opening up her senses to the world around them. She asked Nai’a what she saw, but honestly her eye sight wasn’t that great. It wasn’t so poor as to need glasses, but it wasn’t perfection either. Nai’a squinted at the wooded vista laid out before them.

I see trees that have a white colored bark to them, dried leaves barely hanging on to the limbs and the withered leaves laying underneath the trees, and beams of sun light dancing on the white of the bark. But honestly my eye sight is not that great. I depend on my sense of smell and hearing more than I do my sight. I smell the tantalizing scent of pine, it tingles my nose a bit, I smell the dirt but it is stronger to my nose. It smells of earth and nature, as well as what the animals have left behind. It would sound like it was a nasty smell, but it is quite pleasant, since it holds such natural scents. I smell the rocks; they have a faint earthy like smell to them too. I smell the scents on the faint breeze, of animals in nearby caves sleeping. Nai’a could go on forever at what she smelled, but she decided it was best to stop there, she was rambling on a little too much, which was uncommon for her.

Nai’a looked over at Aello and smiled. You can be the eyes, and I will be the ears and nose. My ears are very sensitive, I can hear the slightest of movements. Nai’a hushed for a couple of chimes and listened to the wilderness around her, shutting her eyes and opening up her sense of hearing.

Right now I hear the soft patter of feet or hooves, cautiously walking on the frozen earth. I cannot tell you which it is, because I am not that skilled when it comes to hunting animals, sorry. I hear the soft flapping of bird’s wings, as it soars on the breeze. I hear the rustle of dry leaves, dancing on the ground. I hear the heavy breathing of sleeping animals. I hear the silence that is only of the forest, it is hard to describe that type of silence, but I am sure you know what I mean. Nai’a smiled apologetically at Aello. She did not know much about hunting the animals of the forest. She usually just ate fish, actually that is all she pretty much had ever eaten, besides when she was a slave. Then she never ate, except for the occasional small, stale, moldy piece of bread they threw at her, just so she wouldn’t die.

OOCSorry for all the dialogue ><

[Jade Pool] Swimming in the Wilds

Postby C'Arya Tomva on January 15th, 2013, 4:58 pm

C'Arya's ears perked up hearing the faint murmur of voices ahead of her. She had been wandering for months and it had been too long since she had heard another voice, besides the sweet songs of birds. Her tail twitched eagerly, in anticipation of the meeting that was sure to happen. She crouched lower to the ground, dipping beneath the swaths of grass and brush and stalked closer, as any self-respecting tiger would. The back pack strapped to her leg just above her paw was rustling through the grass as she glided ever closer. She would Shift back to a human if she was caught, and join there talk. Deep down, she longed for this to happen, but she was fine with just listening for a while. She would reveal herself in a few bit if not noticed. She let out a low purr, barely able to be heard. She hunkered down and waited.

[Jade Pool] Swimming in the Wilds

Postby Aello on January 15th, 2013, 10:42 pm

The vapors vibrated softly. Like candle smoke being blown by one's passing. The colors smoldered; churning together as the aurist's gaze swept slowly back and forth. Penetrating all that had been left to veil less keen eyes.

Aello nodded absently. "Now what does that all mean?" she inquired, as her muddied irises scoured the earth. Settling upon the crouching tiger for a moment, she raised an amused brow before turning back to her companion with the first rustling of wind. The birth of practiced word.

The huntress listened intently, as did her companions. Although, they all remained silent for quite some time after all had settled again. Until a time in which the Treaver broke it. "If what you say is true, then you can lead us," she whispered. "In whichever direction you think best. And if we should happen upon something, let me do the work. I am afraid, as you yourself have suggested, that you will be of little use out of water." She paused, "and with little more than hands in the way of weapons..."

Aello smiled amiably as she waited. Wondering what the girl would do.

OOCIt's alright, makes up for my pc. Who never does much... which may give you lots to do, or naught at all.

P.S. C, you do need two lores on your CS

[Jade Pool] Swimming in the Wilds

Postby C'Arya Tomva on January 16th, 2013, 12:11 am

"Now what does it all mean?" Said one girl, hear eyes scanning the edges of the clearing. As her eyes stopped on C'Arya, C'Arya stiffened, aware that she had been noticed. She was about to Shift, reveling herself, when another figure whispered "If what you say is true, then you can lead us, In whichever direction you think best. And if we should happen upon something, let me do the work. I am afraid, as you yourself have suggested, that you will be of little use out of water." She paused, "and with little more than hands in the way of weapons..."

Little use to us out of water, and hands as weapons? She mused over the idea that there was another Kelvic near this pool, but the chances are very slim. A girl can hope though, and hope she did. C'Arya had to know the observant one's name. She appeared a little out of place, which made C'Arya even more curious to hear her story. She grinned a toothy smile to herself and made up her mind. She would enter the clearing and introduce herself to the all-seeing one and to her company.

She lifted herself out of her crouching position and ever graceful loped forward, slowly, so as to not alarm anyone. When she was only a few feet away from the Observant-one, she Shifted. With a shower of golden particles, the tiger transformed into a redheaded girl in little more than a second. As she stood before the All-seeing-one, fully nude, with a now loose back pack around her ankle, "Hello, I'm C'Arya Tomva, Kelvic wanderer." she said with a smile. She then waited eagerly for a response.
