5th of Winter 512AV
Nai’a was a roamer, a nomad of sorts one would say. She had been to different places, engulfed herself in many different cultures, and met plenty of diverse people. Traveling was somewhat fulfilling, although it did leave her feeling as though something was missing in her life, a place to call home. While traveling through the wild lands, Nai’a had wondered upon a beautiful forest of stone. Stalagmites soared up towards the sky covering the expanse of the hills. There were not many trees in the forest of stones, just a few here and there sprouting up. This place was outlandish to say the least, with its stone trees and unusual caves.
Nai’a traveled among the stalagmites until she happened upon a beautiful pool. The jade colored surface glistened in the afternoon sun, making it look like a sparkling stone. The pool lay in the middle of three tall stalagmites, looking like a green paradise in Nai’a’s eyes. Although it was winter the pool had yet to be frozen over yet, probably because there was a lake feeding into the pool, keeping the water flowing instead of letting it go stagnate.
Nai’a walked over to the beautiful pool, slipping off her boot, and dipping the tips of her toes on her right foot into the jade green water. It was freezing cold; Nai’a quickly withdrew her foot, sliding her boot back on. The coldness would not bother her Kelvic form a bit, but when she came out of the water was another story. She walked over to a small tree, which looked to be only 8-10 feet high; from there she gathered a few limbs and twigs underneath the tree. She brought the small pieces of wood to a cluster of smaller stalagmites, placing the wood a few feet away from the rocks. Nai’a brought out her flint and steel, striking it a few times, until it lit the wood up nicely. Nai’a went back to the tree taking some of the larger limbs off of the tree, placing them on the burning fire, that way it would not die down while she swam in the murky depths of the Jade Pool. Nai’a unclothed herself, placing her dress, boots, and bag behind the stalagmites.
Nai’a climbed on top of one the medium sized stones, standing 10 feet above the water. She leaped into the air, shifting into her kelvic form midair, landing in the depths as a pink dolphin. Feeling the rush of water upon her soft rubbery skin, Nai’a swam to the bottom of the pool, then swam back up just as face jumping into the air, landing gracefully back into the murky depths. Nai’a enjoyed herself in the water; she had no worries of anyone coming up, since it was such a desolate place.
