I was wondering a few things after watching that. : D
Since WR has very little that it can freely trade with people, I get how it'd seem kind of radical for an Endal to ask for payment for their services, since it's probably necessary for the survival of the Reach
but, both the Endal and the Wind Eagles are extremely prideful and very unlikely to get along with people in different cities, or to much enjoy their experiences at all... it's just not what they're accustomed to. maybe too much of a look into the real world? lol
I was just wondering if there would be a way for those who are doing this simply for gold rather than to make friends in other cities to simply do this for profit (for example Zed, who is about as likely to befriend someone outside of WR, outside of Endal as he is likely to eat out of a dumpster). I think a lot of Endal and their eagles would think they're "too good" to be forced to fly around like this, so monetary compensation in certain circumstances would make sense.
I think it could be as simple as this: you can either go there specifically to travel (and, like your example, spend like 9 days (14 total) in Riverfall or some other city, which is great for socialization), or you could rush there and back after doing your assigned task, giving you less of a vacation but more efficiency, really. In a simple way of putting it, I thought maybe you could choose between travel for travel or travel for pay. lol, this probably sounds less like a question and more like a suggestion, but I'm just wanting to hear your thoughts on the idea, and the broader idea in general
Also, I was wondering if you were going to expand on Avora or maybe even lower castes, as well? I know it's within the lore for the Endal to get everything they want, and to have easier lives in general, but the amount of benefits and opportunities the Endal have is so much higher than the other castes that people might not want to make Avora/etc anymore.
and final question, I was wondering how much cargo a wind eagle would probably be able to carry, and how they go about this? it seems like a lot of it would just fall off of their back into impending doom, even if strapped on tightly. this is for when I take on a trade route myself, just so I can make it realistic rather than rushed. haha.
