Fade entered the tavern slowly receiving glances from its occupants, she still had to get used to her gift which gave her a unique appeal.
She paused at the door letting her fingers run on its wooden surface, and then she let it swing back.
She stepped forward cocking her head, on her face her quizzical small smile, clear blue eyes sparkling as she looked around. She breathed in the heavy smell of the tavern taking in the scents which reminded her that she needed food and possibly a drink. Even though she didn’t like drinking sometimes it was necessary.
As she walked forward a man walked briskly by for a second their skin met and as he walked out of the tavern she winced, she almost gave up fighting the compulsions that ran through her body. Did this have to happen every time? Feeling disoriented she walked forward blinking to the bar, she asked for ale and paid quickly as the drink was served, clutching her drink she turned and spotted a young man sitting alone she walked up to him pushing back a lock of blonde white hair that had fallen on her face.
That lock of her was always out of place, Fade didn’t mind, well not much at least, the lock was a rebel so why try to restrain it?
She made a vague gesture at the empty seat and said in a clear tone “Do you mind?”

She tried to keep a straight face but then alas a wide smile appeared on her face, spreading contagiously.
She didn’t laugh she just smiled as the beet fell from his open mouth, she looked at the forlorn beet on the table then looked at him then back at the beet and raised an eyebrow smiling cheekily. She couldn’t quite get the image of the toppling beet out of her head, she chuckled softly her eyes full of mirth.
She sat down smoothly perfectly balanced smoothing her light white, quite transparent dress now she noticed it, dress down while putting her drink on the table. She than clutched it, and sipped it slowly letting the sharp taste invade her mouth and then swallowing it leaving a sharp tinge to her mouth.
Then she simply said “Thanks” She thought a moment and introduced herself by saying “Well, I’m probably Fade” She made a puzzled face and added “Most definitely Fade”
She held out her hand absentmindedly.

Wys stumbled into the tavern, peeking inside before walking in. The waitress smiled as she recognized him. "The usual," Wystern said with a tired look on his face. He walked over to an empty table ,took off his hood and began waiting for the ale. His dreams keep coming back, and he's starting to become a usual.

Several minutes of ale-hammering passed before he looked around and noticed a particularly familiar face. She noticed him looking at her, but Wys didn't look away. It was the contortionist he saw some time ago. He stood up, leaving an empty mug behind and approached her.

"It's nice seeing you again, Miss," he said noticing a big man sitting close to her. "I hope you won't mind if I sit here for a bit, I wanted to apologize for what I said that day," he paused for a second and stretched out his hand to introducing himself to an unfamiliar face,"my name's Wystern, but friends call me Crow."

As her skin touched Jaedens her other hand instinctively lingered on her upper left breast where if you looked closley you could just see her mark through her white dress.
“An empty seat is a forlorn thing but I choose my company carefully, though I wouldn’t call you harmless…”
She trailed of as her gaze caught sight of a man who entered consciously, she recognized him immediately. Her shoulders and neck tensed noticeably as the knight made his way to the bar. She then relaxed as he stayed there but she felt his gaze hot on her shoulder she turned to have a good view of Wystern, he was looking at her she returned his stare calmly blue ices icy.

She shifted in her seat as he came closer and took a seat and apologized. Fade toyed with her necklace and said “I must say that I also overreacted, Crow” Using his friendlier name on purpose to show that she held no grudge.
She eyed his outstretched hand and than grasped it, she closed her eyes for a moment she released her grip “I’m Fade”

Postby Ash'eny on June 6th, 2010, 4:08 am

The stench was awful, a very detestable tool required for the part to be played however. Ash'eny slowly stepped into the tavern. His body was completely hidden behind the brown, patched, worn and nearly exhausted hooded cloak. He glanced around the room as he entered. His entrance was not grand, did not draw considerable, if any, attention from the locals. Not that he should either. He was a homeless man, smelled like one, looked like one, and acted so. As he continued his march into the tavern, a obvious limp was noticeable to anybody watching. The right leg, it would seem, had a tendency to be weaker, forcing the left to brace a majority of his body with each prolonged step.

Ash'eny stepped towards a table where two large burly men sat, already half drunk and laughing at each other. Whether the joke was clever (unlikely) or not, their laughter was obviously too much. From the large baggy sleeves of his wretched cloak, Ash'eny's hand extended, forming a half-cup as his palm, face-up, quivered lightly. "Spare a coin sir? I'd be forever thankful." His voice was soft, but shook with intimidation, anxiety, fear, nervousness, or a melting pot of various other candidates.

After several moments given to calm the drinking, laughter-infected brutes, the both glanced over at Ash'eny. Their stares did not promise much sympathy. One man merely snorted, shaking his head slowly, and then going as far as spitting on the floor right in front of Ash'eny. The other, shrugged and stood up. "I suppose I got somethin' fer yah." Ash'eny grinned lightly before he was sent stumbling to the ground, landing hard on his back. It was a mighty shove the man gave to Ash'eny.

Ash'eny did not show sign of retaliation though. He was weak, frail, had a limp for goodness sake. He merely moaned in pain as he slowly pushed himself off the ground and returned to his standing position. He rubbed his right shoulder slowly as he moved to the next table. He stopped next to Fade, again his right hand was extended slightly out from his body as he questioned the table. "Any spare coin? My daughter hasn't eaten at all this day." Ash'eny frowned slightly as he watched the trio (Fade, Jaeden, and Wystern) from under the brown hood.

Wys stretched out his hand to Jaeden, after introducing himself to Fade. He was just about to take another drink as he heard the hooded man.

"Any spare coin? My daughter hasn't eaten at all this day."

He gave a quick look to Fade and then Jaeden before focusing on begging man's eyes. He quietly hanged his left wrist on the strap that held his sword and the leather bag that held his money. He already didn't like the way this conversation was heading. Even though he is not immediately recognizable as one of his order, he still had uphold their laws. "Pardon me if I sound cruel, but if you want money, you will have to find a job. You can find one at the Welcome Center, our employment office." He turned away, this man looked like someone he could expect to see in Sunberth. Crow rubbed his eyes, trying to appear less weary. A thought flashed, if he is begging here, maybe he simply doesn't know what the Knights have to do to those that don't work. Wys's crest was concealed today, maybe this could go without an incident, he had no desire to spill blood, innocent blood, especially in a public place.

"Everyone in Syliras works, for stability, in some way; as such if one does not work, one does not eat. Don't worry, there are many jobs in this city, there is always a need for intelligence or labor." He broke the eye contact as he took another sip of his ale. "Surely, if you have a daughter, they will pay you enough to feed you both. Assuming you have a daughter." He finished, inquisitively looking at the hooded figure.
