Physical Description:
Richard is tall, and lean. His bright hazel eyes are always watching. He makes eye contact an almost uncomfortable amount, and his face ussally bears a thin, but sincere smile. When he is reading a book, however, he loses track of the rest of the world. In combat his face is blank, peering from behind his large shield, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

Concept:
Richard is a quiet, and introspective man, deeply religious, and polite. He believes he is a protector of the city, and often goes out of his way to investigate what he believes to be worrisome people. He is not very skilled in social interactions, but has taken the codes of chilviry to heart, and is very polite. Unless you are an outsider to the city, he regards all new comers as spies. In combat he is thoughtful, and calculating, and favors winning over 'honor', you can't protect a city if you're dead, and no one know what happens in combat.

Histoy:
His mother and father were both knights, of moderate skill and fame. It was only fitting that Richard himself joined. At a young age he showed a drive to learn, and almost always had a book in his hand, until it was replaced with the sword and spear. He moved from house to house as a page, this only provided him with new spots to read, and a new route to learn to his favorite reading spots. He has been a squire for many years, learning everything he can. But his sponsers always bring him back to reality. He picked up the art of shield work rather rapidly, and his sword work isn't far behind. Richard also learned several dirty tricks in fighting, and isn't above throwing dirt in the eyes of a foe. This less than honorable fighting style and his left handed fighting has given him an infamous reputation amongst the squires. At night he leaves offerings for Eyris,and often thinks of her. He is quiet content with his lot in life, but is always on the look out for new oppurtunities to learn something new.

Housing.
He is currently living in the squire barracks, and all his possessions are stashed into one small, smelly, and well used chest.
