Iosha frowned when the man named Jared jumped away from her feeble sword slashes. She was clearly out match in this fight, and the large man knew it. He played with her for a few ticks than he sent another verbal insult in her direction, and Iosha knew soon the large man would take her out of the fight. After she feebly thrust forward with her long sword, the large Vantha dodged her attack by side stepping out of the way, and he counter with a quick kick to the konti stomach. Iosha didn't have time to dodge his attack, so the large foot of the man went straight into her stomach, and she was knocked back onto her butt. She went wide eyed when she saw her sword laid at the foot of the large man's feet. Suddenly Nari thrust forward with his talon sword cutting the large man in the shoulder when the Vanthan turned to face the Nari, he took a more serious fighting stance. Iosha knew confrontation would only end in blood for either of the two mean, so she slowly made it to her feet. Nari moved in her direction, and once he was close enough, he grabbed the arm of the young Konti and pulled her behind him. She was about to prepare a spell, but she was interrupted when a white hair woman yelled at the trio to stop. Iosha looked up at the woman, and she noticed the familiar shine of her scales in the sunlight. She was definitely older Konti woman than her since she had a outward appearance of a human female in her early twenties. Inwardly, she felt a calm that she hadn't felt when she was a young girl on Mura. She felt the need to talk to this woman in Kontinese since she hadn't seen any of her people in eight years. Iosha was lonely, and she wished she stilled had the comfort of her people around her. When the Konti regarded the two of them coolly, Iosha hide behind Nari not wanting to see the disappointment on the older Konti's face. Iosha looked up at Nari when he called the woman by name, Miina. Iosha looked at Cait, and she could tell the woman was still in a daze from the attack of Jared. Iosha quickly moved to Cait, and she rested a comforting hand on the Endal's shoulder as she knelt down in the wet snow next to her. She said with a smile to her former rival, “Cait. I am a healer of Rak'keli if you are hurt let me know, and I treat your wound.” Iosha looked up at the big Vantha and said softly, “Your shoulder is hurt too, Jared. Do you want me to patch it up for you?” Iosha remembered the way the older Konti touched him, so she was starting to wonder if he was chosen to be her mate. Iosha listened to Miina talk to Nari, and she could tell that she was scolding the Endal. She could tell by the look on Nari face that he was shocked that the beautiful woman choose Jared. She was starting to realize Nari fascination with her people. She wondered if the two of them were lovers in the past. It wouldn't surprise her at all. Miina was a gorgeous woman. When Iosha heard Miina mention he was using the magic flux, she shook her head at the realization that he had a definite edge over her party. She should have used magic, but she was unsure that she should have used it in this situation or if she was strong enough to do anything to the giant man. Iosha stood up from Cait when the older Konti addressed her, and she responded to the woman in Kontiese, “It been a long time that I have seen another Konti. My heart sings at the sound of your voice, Miina.” She looked at the Vantha next to her and continued in her native tongue, “I am sorry. I pulled a sword on your mate, Miina if I have known, I would have took a more diplomatic approach. However, when I saw him walking towards me, I assumed that my life was endangered from him. I was just defending myself, and I am sorry.” Iosha looked at the ground with a ashamed look on her face. When Iosha heard Miina comment about her gift, she nodded to her in common, “My gift from Avalis is the ability to see the events leading up to somebodies death, so I was recruited by Nari and Cait to assist them in the murder investigation. Don't feel sorry for me Miina. You understand that our gifts are a given to us by our mother goddess, so even if the vision are emotionally draining for me, I wouldn't be whole if I one day lost them.” Suddenly, Iosha saw a great bird flying towards them, and when he or she landed the bird look at Nari, and the Endal looked pained when he told Cait that her sister was murdered. |
