[Tsukiko]

"Thank you," she said with a smile. Tsukiko vaulted over the rail of her Catamaran, holding her fishing kit and sail hand, landing lightly on her feet next to Troian. She grinned at the younger Svefra, who was younger in the sense that Tsukiko had existed far before her time. However, she supposed that since her re-birth, she was almost 3 years of age, and was very new to the current era in Mizahar. She glanced around her surroundings, nodding with appreciation at Troian's home. Tsukiko looked down to see the dolphin observing them from the water, clicking when she looked over at her. Smiling, she gently set down the items in her hands and leaned towards it. She lowered her head to the dolphin's eye level, reaching out a hand to offer a friendly rub. "What are you doing here? Have you been separated?" Tsukiko glanced at it's length. She was a young dolphin, seeming to be in relatively good health (most likely because of the high amount of fish in the northern region). "You are a fine young girl, aren't you," laughing when the dolphin clicked, almost as an affirmative. Tsukiko straightened, looking at Troian. "I have no Tavan of my own... I've never had one... how does it happen? My pod never really elaborated on the subject..." She gazed back at the dolphin, wondering if it was possible...

[Troian]

Troian didn't know how to answer that question. Most people did meet sea creatures that were loners. Or something like that... Troian wish she knew but she really didn't. She opened her bag and looked at the tired Dasani. He was alone... Lost and close to death. She took him in and nursed him back to health. He never left her side. He followed her. "I don't know... They just... Grown on you." She told Tsukiko as she took one of her dreads and twisted it. She looked at Taskiko's fishing kit. She recognized it.

"Uh... I hope you don't mind me asking but can you teach me how to fish?" She blushed with embarrassment. She didn't know how to fish. But she's lived on land. The day she learned to fish was the day she became a slave.

[Tsukiko]

Tsukiko nodded and smiled. "Thank you," she glanced at the dolphin, "I hope that one day I can meet mine..." She knew that when the dolphin lost interest, she would swim away to find someone or something that caught her curiosity. However, if she did stay... well, she would think about it if it happened. Tsukiko turned to Troian, and grinned, "Sure! Though I may not be the best teacher, as you can see," she said as she lifted the sail to show her, "I got careless and caused my current dilemma". She noticed that Troian blushed, for what exact reason, she could not fathom, but it seemed to be tinged with sadness, and she felt another sweep of protectiveness. She patted the girl's shoulder gently and said firmly, "We will figure it out... and maybe we will catch dinner," she added the last with a playful smile and wink. Tsukiko opened the fishing kit, set up her rod, threaded the thin fishing line, and tied bait at the end with a small, but strong knot. "Watch carefully. It will be your turn next." She raise the end of the rod at a slight angle on her opposite side, so as not to hit Troian, checked that she would not catch anything on her friend's casinor. Once she was sure, Tsukiko gave a strong flick of her wrist, sending the line and bait flying into the water, landing with a small plop. Tsukiko looked down to make sure that the dolphin had not gone after it, and was relieved to see that she hadn't. Tsukiko reeled in the line, checking with her fingers to be sure that she did not tangle the line, and then held it out to Troian with an encouraging smile. "Here you go. We can do this slowly, and ask me if there is anything that you are unsure about." For the next few hours, Tsukiko watched as the younger woman made mistakes, learned, and improved from them, helping her whenever she needed it, otherwise letting her figure things out. Smiling, she called for a break, and they sat on deck, laughing and talking about the day's experiences. Grinning, they appeared to be almost sisters, blue eyes dancing in the light.
