Sarthas Physical Description Name: Sarthas Race: Human Age: 24 Sex: Male Birthday: 54th Winter, 488 AV Standing at 5 feet 11 Sarthas isn't considered tall or short for that matter instead he seems right about average, something that comes in handy when one needs to blend into a crowd. Black is the color, it's his color and he drenches his body in it's darkness from head to toe. He nearly always wears a hood of some sort, be it a cowl or the hood of a cloak to cover his head and shadow his features. Darkness is the man's friend and he rarely strays from the shadows but if you were to catch him in the light without a hood you would notice that his hair was short and matted and a dark brown in color matching his eyes. He is usually cleanly shaven though the shadow of his beard is ever present. His face itself is fairly plain, not ugly nor hansom simply forgettable with one exception, his completion is uncommonly pale, especially for a resident of Sunberth. Physically he is somewhat thin, though his body is toned to perfection. A lifetime of precise exercises has seen to that. Character Concept Sarthas is quiet. A product of a violent childhood and even more violent adolescence the man has some deep emotional scars. Meeting him for the first time someone could easily assume he is a sociopath but the truth is perhaps more complicated and possibly more sinister. Unlike a true sociopath he understands what most consider right and wrong and he may even sympathize with them on some basic level. Unlike most people however because of his upbringing he has had to ignore his conscience. A world of death and violence where survival of the fittest is the only law does not leave any room for compassion or weakness. Over the years he has become so jaded and has built so many emotional walls that acting on his conscience is nearly impossible. It's simply buried too deep to hear. Because of this self enforced disconnect with other peoples emotions Sarthas has developed a rather dark sense of humor which only further serves to alienate the man from those around him. Despite all of this, if you were to ask him and actually get an answer, he considers himself content. Why? Maybe he has learned to love his life despite it's horrors. Maybe it's simply ignorance of something better. Or maybe it's something else entirely, whatever the case may be he does not seek out companionship, instead preferring a solitary life. Character History Sarthas never knew his true parents, instead he was raised to the age of five by a guardian who was extremely strict and unimaginably callus. From age five onward he found himself in a communal living of sorts. Torture, brutality and death were simply part of an every-day routine and he endured nineteen years of it. Every aspect of his life was controlled, from the food and water he was allowed to the amount of sleep he was permitted. The day to day activity’s were both physically grueling and emotionally devastating, the boy should have died but instead he refused to give in. The strong rule and the weak die. That is the creed he lived by and live he did. More than this, Sarthas thrived hardening his body and mind until a night of death and madness destroyed his home and family leaving him without a sense of purpose. For the last year he has been wandering, seeking that purpose, though weather he finds it or not only time will tell.
