Garron Strongarm Coglias Basic Information Race: Isur Gender: Male Age: 47 Birthday: 89th of Summer, 465AV Languages
Physical Appearance Height: 5ft Weight: 297lbs Hair colour: Black Eye colour: Dark blue Description :
Like all isur, Garron is very bulky despite his height. He tops out at the five feet maximum of an isur, but even though he's one of the tallest of his race he's still short compared to those of other races. It gives him an imposing figure among his race, but it makes him seem disproportionate to others. This is reinforced with his muscular build, which is massive to say the least, cultured by the traits and training of of Clan Coglias. His left arm is the characteristically green hue of his clan, and his skin carries that same pallor as the rest of his race, with silver veins present on most of his body. Scratches and bruises are nearly impossible and his hardened skin, which is nearing the end of its complete maturity and will become even harder to break afterwards. Because of this, there is no scar or other kind of blemish on his pale skin.
Character Concept Nature and Pride
Honor above all. Honor to the clan, honor to the Isur, honor to Izurdin. One must always respect that to which they belong, a belief that, being raised as an isur in the Coglias citadel, Garron has taken to heart. He believes in his people and Izurdin and feels like he belongs to such a worthy entity, determined to protect it the best way he can. Very much unlike a warrior (of other races at least), Garron has a high appreciation for all sorts of crafts. From architecture to art, from trinkets to tools, from weapons to armor. The massive automated lifts, the moving transport systems, the powerful weapons of old. Everything is so astonishing and awesome. Though he feels as if he can never create anything nearly as good, despite his belonging, he wants to do what he knows how to: fight to protect it. This awe for the work of his race make him very proud to be an isur, as to be expected. Yet he carries himself more humbly than one might expect. The reason for this is that he venerates the creation of such works as a god-like method, yet try as he might he has never seemed to be able to begin to create such magnificent wonders. Since he cannot create like the rest, in his mind this makes him less worthy than a lot of isur. However, what he does feel worthy of doing is fighting to protect those who can create, which is where is fierce loyalty to his kin comes from. He will always be one of the first out on the field, the one leading the charge, the one in greatest danger (what danger there is for an isur). Even the isur are mortal, and though Garron is very aware of this it matters not to his sense of duty. His life for the clan, his life for the isur, his life for Izurdin. Foreign Policy
Though he may be humble in the presence of other isur, Garron's belief in the magnificence of his race leads to a skewed vision of those who are not his kin. Not all are jealous though, as Garron knows, and most of them are alright. He accepts the fact that not everyone can be as great as the isur, and though they are inferior in most ways they make up for it with their oddities and other skills that an isur might not have. For example, some humans from the southeast know how to do amusing tricks and illusions and can put thoughts in your head from nowhere. The tall pale beings to the southwest are agile and capable of many things. The funny people to the northwest have their giant eagles atop which they ride with ease. All are different and good at what they do - not as good as the isur at what the isur do maybe, but good. Religious Devotion
Izurdin is the subject of most of Garron's devotion, yet he feels a little unworthy of the god's attention being incapable of smithing anything near the magnificence of the rest of his kin. He still prays to Izurdin for power and petience, devoting his any impressive feats of either to his patron god and ancestor, but his worship has widened slightly to include other divine deities that can help him in his quest to keep the kingdom safe from all threats. Whoever can help, he will honor in the hopes of gaining their blessing. There is no doubt that the most revered is Izurdin however, there is no question where his loyalties lie. Wysar was the first god after Izurdin who received attention from Garron. The isur's rigorous training to become a better defender of his race has led him to worship the primarily akalak, whose domain he takes to heart. Integrity, conviction, discipline, all are important when striving to make oneself better, and it is to this god that Garron prays for his training. Wysar is the main secondary deity that the isur warrior devotes his feats to, as the two divine domains combined prove to be beneficial towards each other. He has heard of Myri to the south and indeed prays to her for each victory to commemorate and thank her, attributing his wins to the goddess. Both are the major patron deities of other races, which makes praying to them often strange and awkward, but he worships them all the same. Other gods are honored, albeit minorly in comparison, in his everyday life. Tyveth's domain of honor and chivalry is very important to Garron and so he makes quick prayers daily that he remain just and valorous for both himself and the god, though his major followers are an ocean away. He makes prayers to Akvin of creation as well, though for his kin rather than himself, hoping for the success of the smiths. Semele is also subject of worship, especially when below the mountainside, for her bounties hat keep the isur sustained. These gods may not be his focus, but the religious isur makes sure that none are forgotten and all are thanked for their domains and power. Drives and Curiosities
From Garron's racial pride and reverence comes his intense curiosity about his people and what they do, always ready to sit down to watch another work the forge and smith something amazing. All kinds of creations are target of adoration for him, and those that create them are worthy of the greatest honor in his eyes. However, his curiosity extends to rumors of the isur themselves, particulaly the lost clans. For example, hearsay of the Viceren clan spotting by various people with their darkened veins, as well as the great mystery behind the wiping out of the Jiathu, their unfinished citadel still sitting atop its peak. He has never looked into either of these himselves, though he would love the opportunity to. More solid than these fascinations is his intense drive to join Izurdin's Hammer. Being a Coglias, it had been his childhood dream to join the powerful warriors who use their bodies to fight off threats to the isur. Those who wear their insignia proudly on their chests and suffer great pains to receive the honor, those whose imposing presence command respect, such quiet yet fearsome power. They are truly symbols of patience and strength. He is not ready to join them, so he knows, but once he is able he will not hesitate to try.
Character History Forever Training :
Since birth, Garron Strongarm was training for fights. The Strongarms were aptly named, their inherent strength noticeable even among the isur and they trained their son rigorously to be the best soldier he could be. Weight lifting, runs through the city, sparring practice, wrestling matches. Ever since he was old enough to walk, these were part of his daily routine. A child of another other race might have crumpled beneath the intense exercise, but as was the nature of all isur Garron thrived. He grew strong, and soon he was granted the family heirloom: a pair of teethed gauntlets so ancient that they could have been made in the old city of Izurith. They were all the armor he needed, and provided him with another deadly weapon to fight with. Though he is not of the Hammer, he fights for Coglias citadel and the outlying farms that supply it, hoping one day to perform a feat that would make him worthy of entering.
Relationships Mendelir Father :
A slightly aging man in his early hundreds, Mendelir is nonetheless a strong and proud warrior. His height stands at the traditional Strongarm standard of five feet, and his large torso is usually clad in his part of the family's Isurian steel armor, the breastplate and rerebraces, giving him an imposing presence. Despite this severe appearance, he is kind at heart and loves his family dearly, encouraging them with their training and making time for them when he can. He’s especially fond of his youngest son, Garron, who he sees as the one with the most options out of all the family, moreso than his other children, and hopes that Garron becomes more than just another warrior for the Isur, something more.
Mendelir is a member of the Coglias city guard, among whom he is well-reputed and much respected. Though he is not very high up the chain of command, he’s been around longer than many of his superiors and those who know him take his words into account when he chooses to speak. When fighting, he uses his bare fists rather than a bladed gauntlet, and the reason is because he knows some basic reimancy. Not enough to warrant the full moderation of the Sentinels, but enough to surround his fists with res and set them alight, earning him the nickname of the fiery fist. Yviran Mother :
Age: 107
A member of Izurdin’s Hammer, Yviran takes her role as one of this elite defense force very seriously. The part of the family heirloom that she has taken ownership of is the Isurian steel broadsword, with which she is a terror on the battlefield. Her conviction is unwavering to the cause of the Hammers, who she has been a part of for several decades now, and she unquestioningly obeys all orders given for the good of their order. However, her tasks are usually outside of the underground complex and in the aboveground Isurian Kingdom, in the outposts and on the roads, meaning she has little connection anymore to Coglias City or any of the belowground. She still has faith in Izurdin though, and she may be far but she still feels strongly about the Hammer’s cause to protect the kingdom. Venos Elder Brother :
Age: 65
Skills:
Also a member of Izurdin’s Hammer, Venos inherited the Isurian great helm of the Strongarm suit of armor, which he wears with his Hammer breastplate as a symbol of strength for both the Strongarms and the Hammers. He fights with his fists unlike his mother, using bare knuckles to pound any challenge into the dirt. His highly competitive nature coupled with his love of combat makes him ideal for both training newer recruits and as a fighter on the edge of the kingdom where the threats are greatest, and he alternates between the two positions often. When he’s home, he tries to find time to visit his family, and when he’s out he’s usually found fighting alongside his mother against threats to the kingdom, taking a relish in the high of battle. Lemiris Elder Sister :
Age: 51
Skills:
Lemiris is part of the city guard as well, though she is another unique case among them. From the Strongarm suit of armor she inherited the complete leg set, Isurian steel cuisses and greaves and boots, and it is these she uses to her greatest ability. Instead of punching and wrestling threats into submission, she uses the temple of her body another way to pummel her target: kicking. Flexible and acrobatic, Lemiris is a student of some variation of martial art that allows her to use the boots she inherited as a dangerous edge against an enemy. The strength she built up with the Strongarm training routine lets her hop about in the metal as if it were glass.

Heirloom Family legend has it that, long ago, a woman from Clan Terras married into the family, bringing with her her life's greatest achievement: a complete set of Isurian steel armor with a sword and shield to boot. That set has been passed down from generation to generation, distributed amongst the family members at any given time. Garron's part of the set are the teethed gauntlets, which not only make his punch much more powerful but also give him an event footing against enemies wielding blades were he to ever come across any. Whether he received a bad part of the set is not in question, only that he is honored to have been granted them and uses them to the best of his ability.

Housing The Strongarm House is divided slightly differently than most other isur houses. Instead of having all the rooms branch off of a single main hall similar to an aboveground estate, each family member has a separate division of the house with its own exterior entrance. This holds true too for the parents, though their rooms have an interior adjioning door so travel between them is easier and more private. The belief is that the Strongarms are supposed to be proud of their family history, and so they have no reason hide their interactions, so each family member has his or her own part of the complex carved from the existing manor. It matters little though, as little time is spent at home for any of the Strongarms and whole family gatherings are rare. Garron's own unit is on the end of the complex, being the youngest of his family, and is one of the smaller sections of the manor. Small it may be, but it is comfortable and familiar to the isur, who aside from the nights spends little time in it really.
