2nd of Spring, 511AV The library was filled with echoing, as per its usual, there was not a wealth of voices though people obviously roamed the building. But far outnumbering the people were the rows of books, stacked nearly too high to even see if not for the ladders to reach. Being in the library often made Theia feel as if she were tiny and held no knowledge because there was obviously an endless supply in the building but it also made her feel as if she would be able to learn anything. For her there was not a lot of stock in learning at schools but knowledge was power, as they say. Not to mention she was a little cold. It was no Bonesnapper but it was entirely foolish of her to not bring a coat of some sort and now she was shivering and hopping and scanning down the aisles for her idiot of a brother. Why he failed to ever do anything but skulk around the library never failed to frustrate her. The library was entirely too large for any one person to be find and half of it was blocked off to her anyhow, no doubt he was in that half. Soon enough, as anyone would when wandering the building, she found herself forgetting what she was looking for and instead running her fingers down the shelves and peeking at titles. Nothing she would actually take back to read, she was a hands on learner, but Gods there was so many and there were all so large! Theia was getting entirely lost in the rows of books, only mumbling her brothers’ name no and gain but mostly just looking around and watching the people. Here and there she made brief conversations with a few but now… Honestly, she should just go home at the rate this was going, her brother would get there when he got there. Beginning to grow irate she plucked a book off the shelf and began opening and closing it snappishly, restarting her question of the patrons as to whether or not they had seen who she was searching for. |
