The library was filled with echoing, as per its usual, there was not a wealth of voices though people obviously roamed the building. But far outnumbering the people were the rows of books, stacked nearly too high to even see if not for the ladders to reach. Being in the library often made Theia feel as if she were tiny and held no knowledge because there was obviously an endless supply in the building but it also made her feel as if she would be able to learn anything. For her there was not a lot of stock in learning at schools but knowledge was power, as they say.

Not to mention she was a little cold. It was no Bonesnapper but it was entirely foolish of her to not bring a coat of some sort and now she was shivering and hopping and scanning down the aisles for her idiot of a brother. Why he failed to ever do anything but skulk around the library never failed to frustrate her. The library was entirely too large for any one person to be find and half of it was blocked off to her anyhow, no doubt he was in that half.

Soon enough, as anyone would when wandering the building, she found herself forgetting what she was looking for and instead running her fingers down the shelves and peeking at titles. Nothing she would actually take back to read, she was a hands on learner, but Gods there was so many and there were all so large! Theia was getting entirely lost in the rows of books, only mumbling her brothers’ name no and gain but mostly just looking around and watching the people. Here and there she made brief conversations with a few but now…

Honestly, she should just go home at the rate this was going, her brother would get there when he got there. Beginning to grow irate she plucked a book off the shelf and began opening and closing it snappishly, restarting her question of the patrons as to whether or not they had seen who she was searching for.

Silence. What a lovely "sound". That's why Elaine likes the library. Not only the books which her favourite things in the world but the peace of silence. She just walked right in. She didn't see anyone only books. She walked through between the bookselves. She gently touched every single bookself. She found that one bookself she searched for. She put back a book and looked after another one. It took her some time but in the end she found it. The book's name was "Just Stay Home". Elaine openned it and took a breath from the book's scent. She closed it then turned around. She walked away from that shelf and walked slowly to one table near the window to read.

She needed a bit calm. She had some issues with her mother again. Then she met with one of her "friend" if we can say that. Her mother wanted to make a party for her but she kept refuse it. Mrs. Spade was upset about why her daughter refuse to socilaze with other people. And with her "friend". Elaine couldn't leave her because her "friend" just talked and talked and talked. She didn't even care that Elaine couldn't say anything. She was so annoying and noisy for her. But now she is alone isn't she? She isn't. Elaine noticed a girl who kept open and close a book. She looked at her and investigated her.

- If you want to read then read. If you don't then leave the library and leave the silence here. - She said to her to stop it.

The voice surprised her and Theia gave her a quick once over, the girl was short like a child but otherwise unremarkable, and she was reminded of some of the scruffier children on East Street. For a moment she was silence but then a gleeful smile tore at her lips, stretching wide, and not reaching her eyes. The book opened and snapped with more force.

“And what if I do want to read the book? Maybe that’s my way of reading it and unless you run the building I really, really don’t have to.” Gods, she was being childish and the waif of a girl in front of her couldn’t be more than thirteen or so. Theia sighed dramatically and thumped the book back onto any shelf, it was all her damned brothers fault. He was supposed to be walking her home so of course he wasn’t where he was supposed to meet her. And now she was beginning to feel foolish for taking it out on the kid. “Sorry, just frustrated with my brother, not you. Though I don’t plan on leaving yet, shouldn’t you have a parent with you? You look a bit young to already be in the university.”

As Theia spoke she leaned casually against one of the shelves, jumping in shock when the books slid off and clattered to the floor. The moment the shock wore off the woman began laughing softly. So much for leaving the girl and her silence, not that she had been planning on leaving. Stil huffing with laughter she began to pick up the books, glancing over at the girl.

“Don’t suppose I can get your help setting these right, can I?”

There was no need to wait for an answer, Theia just started setting them on the shelf again, trying to figure out if they had any order or if anyone would notice if she just left them like that.

Elaine looked at the girl who was mean with her. Her eyes showed some anger because of this but her face showed nothing else.

- Yeah read while closing it and opening it. Smart woman.... - She didn't understand why that other girl. She shouldn't open her mouth. She didn't want to talk with her anyway.-I see.... you brother... And no I'm already 16 and my mother is teaching in the university anyway I like to be here alone. But then tell me what do you need?

Yes alone. But not anymore. She had some manner and offered some help. She won't read this day. She went near the girl and looked at the shelfs. What possibly she could search for she didn't know. Although if they find it soon then Elaine can go to read. However she had a feeling it won't be that easy. Elaine were in the library a lot time. She knew every little scratch in it. She came everyday ever since her mother brought her into the university. What a glorius day for her. A place full of books. A dream came true. But she didn't interact with other people here. She tried to keep the rule of the library. Silence.

OOCSorry it took a bit long to response ><

“It is smart, lets me skip to the good parts.” She retorted in good humor, continuing to stack the books oblivious to the other girls discomfort or ignoring it for the moment, “Sixteen? You don’t look it. Don’t go here myself but the classes are well-taught, your mum must be a smart woman.”

Theia sing-songed the words back and gestured to the books she was haphazardly putting back on the shelf. Some were upside down, some were sideway, backwards and a lot of them she couldn’t pronounce. She just was stick them back on the shelf so they wouldn’t end up with footprints. “Do you know if these go in order?”

Maybe they went in sections on what they were about? What were they about anyway? Another book fell to the floor with a another loud smack in the silence. The woman flushed a bit and looked up at the girl from where she crouched to pick it up.

“What’s your name anyhow? Mines Theia. Speaking of my name, you seen a boy around, looks like me?”

Might as well keep searching while she restacked the books. Idly she flipped one opened and closed again, hardly glancing at the title and trying to make the books stop falling to the side as she stood them straight. She was lucky the librarian hadn’t come over and made her leave before Thiea found her brother. Hopefully the girl wouldn’t complain because that would just make thing difficult.

Yeah smart... for sure was in Elaine's mind. She didn't understand if somebody is reading a book why is she skipping the parts? It made no sense for her. Elaine had to help before this girl destroy the library. Her precious place.

-Why would you read a book if you skip the parts? It's part of it. Even it's not the best you have to read it to know all the details and to understand the story.- She told her opinion about it.- And yes I am and yes she is. She taught me how to read. I can thanks her a lot. Even to my father.- She was thinking about them. The only two person she loved the most. She missed them even she would see them soon.

She didn't like how Theia was clumsy with the books there. Even she was making some noisy. She couldn't believe somebody would do that at the library. It was embarassing for her that she had to be with her. But unless she couldn't get calm. She put her book into Thei's hands and took her place.

-Oh my gosh let me do this or you and maybe even me will get into trouble.-She put the books in order. It was an easy job for her. She knew everything about it. She kneeled down for one and she awsnered for the clumsy girl question.

-My name is Elaine Spade. And no I don't. I don't care about boys. Nor I care about anybody. I don't have friends.

“If you say so, not really a book person myself so I can’t say if I’m missing anything good.” Theia backed off with her hands raised and watched the girl in parts amusement parts incredulous. “You’re a feisty little thing, aren’t you?”

Kneeling back down she bumped her shoulder against the girls and watched silently for a few moments. Elaine seemed to have a quick brisk manner about her, it reminded Theia of someone much older but at the same time much younger, her quick temper was something to relate to though.

“We won’t get any trouble, just an accident, no harm done. Wait, did I harm one of the books? I can’t pay for a new one.”

Her eyes roved the books for a second before she sat back and laughed at the other girl, it wasn’t mean to be mean, Theia was just surprised. And honestly felt a twinge of pity for the girl, being alone seemed to be her choice but that just seemed…lonely. But to each their own.

“Not now but maybe soon you’ll see boys in a different light, they have their uses.” she tossed Elaine a wink and continued, “If you haven’t seen him then I’ve check every inch of this damned building that I feel like.”

Theia was silent if for only a few moments to gather her thoughts before gazing over at the book the girl was reading, “’Just Stay Home’? Odd title considering you’re here don’t you think? If you stayed home you wouldn’t get to read!”

Elaine just put and put the books in order. Business as usual. She got use to it that somebody is asked so much about her and staring at her while she wanted to be alone. That's life she thought. She took a look at Theia.

- Don't worry you didn't harm anything. For now. Just DO NOT DO ANYTHING STUPID HERE! It's a library, not a pub.

She said then rolled her eyes. She continued to put the books back. After she finished it, she was thinking. Boys. They weren't really interesting for her. She didn't even understand why should she. They were childish for her. Talking about them was just a waste of time. Then she looked at her book: "Just Stay Home". Why did she mean by odd title? She thought that Theia had no sense for books and for the library. She knew nothing about them.

-Boys, boys, boys. They are like children. I don't think I should pay attention to them. And check everything here but in SILENCE! I don't care anyway. And this book's title has nothing wrong with it. You don't know what is it about. And if the title would be 'Fall in Love' you would only read it when you fell in love?-

Elaine wasn't friendly at all with her. She wasn't friendly at all with anyone but her parents. She didn't show any emotion. At least she tried. However you could see in her mouth a little. Her lips were trembling for a moment. And her eyebrows went a little down.
