Vaspira had been traveling for 10 days days since leaving the Spires, the air was becoming more frigid as the Winter season went further along. Snow was now longer drifting lazily, it had started to come down in a mass, fierce on its assault of the frozen earth. Vaspira kept going though, not letting this weather bring her down or discourage her from her goal of reaching Avanthal. She kept going, at a some what slower pace than what she began with, but she made her kelvic body push through the tiredness. Not sleeping as much as she should, as it was beginning to get frigid out in the lands of Mizahar.
Although the weather did not slow her down, the evading of the Yukman that looked similar to a Jamoura did. He was intelligent and fierce, slightly frightening to say the least. Vaspira did not like the Jamoura to begin with, their size and strength, along with their intellectual eyes always made her nervous around them. So when she came upon one in the wilderness she ran, ran for her life, with the Yukman following behind her. Its loud snarls and screams of rage scared her to her bones. She did not think she would escape the man, but she ran hard and fast, escaping his view and climbing high in a tree that had not lost it leaves due to the weather, and hid there, waiting for the Yukman to pass and leave. She waited in the tree for 5 bells before she felt confident enough to continue her journey. When she came down from the tree it was dark, it did not bother her due to her night vision, but running into another one of those monsters at night was not what she wanted. So she traveled in the opposite direction of the Yukman for 2 bells, found a tree, climbed it and had a restless sleep. Always waking in fear that the Yukman was below, or climbing the tree to eat her. This made her journey last a few days longer than it should. She expected to be in Avanthal in 15 days, but it would be 18 days thanks to that evasion.
Vaspira shrugged off the terrible memories of the Yukman as she continued her travel north, the arctic air becoming more frigid and the weather climate as well the further North she went. She expected to be at the entrance of Avanthal around 7 to 8 days, depending on the weather as well as if she ran into any more monsters on her journey. Vaspira was determined to follow the Konti's woman advice on going North, keeping in mind that this journey was one of change, although she did not know what change was to come from it.
