”Alright dear, I am going to go get some tea for you, to help reduce the fever and settle your stomach. Sit up for a while; it will help the food digest. And if you feel sick, just let it out, don’t keep it in, it’s your body’s natural way of expelling sickness from your body. There isn’t much I haven’t experienced yet.” Nai'a smiled before she left the room, and Ricky listened to her with ease in mind. The queasy feeling still lingered which made him nervous, but the fact she said to let it out made it feel not as terrible. She did have a point behind it, but there was no need to blow chunks just so someone would have to clean it up. He felt exhausted enough as he was, and now the stirring pit in his stomach now felt strange. It was the same strange he felt when one knows they're about to get sick, only there's no way to prevent it... That didn't stop Ricky from trying at least. He knew Nai'a said not to keep it in, but the idea of another unpleasent mess wasn't appealing either way. Ricky cradled his stomach and leaned forward, then closed his eyes as he focused on calm collected breathes. He felt jittery as his heart picked up a frantic pace, but he still focused on taking slow deep breaths to keep a calm mind about it. Mentally telling himself he was fine and just needed to relax was the next thing to follow, but after several chimes his stomach twisted in another knot. 'Petchin shyke.' He thought as he felt light headed, his stomach cramped continuously until he couldn't bear it anymore. Finally it happened. A heave that sent pain into his head as he leaned forward, and vomit soon ran free through his throat and out onto the floor. He covered his mouth with the side of his fist, another built up heave to follow. This time more catastrophic as he felt the burn in his esophagus as it climbed up to the throat, escaped out the same way as the first one had. The strong taste of metallic bile in his mouth made him scowl with disdain, as he covered his mouth in the same manner as before. 'Oh shyke!' He thought with overwhelming guilt. |
