The events seemed to happen too quickly. First the woman was sitting, then the woman was in the snow, and then she was headed for the deer after swinging her staff around, and then grabbing ahold of the deer's snout. Sera tilted her head to the side."Oh Goddess! You've got to be kidding me." She exclaimed, then walked right over the the woman and the deer. "Ironically, as I was saying before, I think we're closest to the Frostfawn hold." Sera spoke with a hint of irritation in her voice. "Though, that might be best, considering everything."
It was strange being so close to such a beautiful animal. It was also quite comical being so close to such an animal with a woman pestering it the way Jesslyn was. Though, due to everything, it was even more amusing. The Frostfawn hadn't fled. And there didn't seem to be any other's nearby. This just seemed too weird to just ignore.
So Sera moved away from the woman and the deer, and picked up a handful of snow. Somehow she didn't believe that it was completely alone, but just to be sure, she had to find out. She threw the snow in the air, much like one would to skip stones on a lake. The snow just fell to the ground like snow did, not catching on any nearly invisible creatures. Sera raised her eyebrows, finally agreeing with Jesslyn that the Frostfawn may, indeed, be a loner.
"So, you're right, it's a loner, what shall we do now?" She turned on her toes to face the woman once again. Her eyes began to shift into a light yellow shade, revealing that she was hopeful about something. "I still think it may need our help. How about we follow it's tracks as far a we can, maybe find the others he's traveled with? He obviously adores you." |

Bleeding? When the Vantha woman mentioned that, Sera froze. She had no idea how to care for an animal. “We need to get him to the Frostfawn Hold.” She tried to brainstorm ideas. If he really was hurt and needed help it would make sense for the animal to stay close to them. Maybe this was something that they needed to do. Maybe they were meant to meet up? Maybe they were supposed to run into… Okay, Sera might have been jumping to conclusions, but who could blame her? She was a bit crazy.
Her eyes changed to a deep green and she looked at the Frostfawn carefully. “You poor thing…” She whispered and touched it’s neck, gently. “What happened to you?” Her voice shook a bit, it was as she had thought before. It was frustrating that she hadn’t examined the animal before.

Suddenly Jesslyn was crying out into hysterics. Sera watched, puzzled. Then almost as quickly as she had gotten excited, she had turned sad, worrisome even. Sera narrowed her eyes. The Vantha girl seemed to be investigating the animal's wounds. But how was that possible? Sera blinked twice, then tilted her head to the side figuring it out. She could see, that was the only real explanation.
Sera looked around. “Come on, let’s try and get him somewhere safe, maybe try and clean out his wounds at the Frostfawn hold?” She suggested, and touched Jesslyn’s arm softly. “He obviously needs help, so let’s go.”
With that being said, she began walking, figuring that Jesslyn and her new friend would follow as well. Though, Sera couldn’t help but wonder how stubborn they both really were. She turned her head and looked back, waiting to see if they would come as well. |

Sera saw that Jesslyn was having problems. Sera wrinkled her nose again, in frustration, but it was all directed at herself. She sighed and walked back to the girl. First she looked at the deer and then her fellow Vantha. “I’m sorry.” She said. “I didn’t mean to be rude. Of course I’ll hold onto the staff and help lead you.” She took a hold of the staff and held it in her right hand, firmly.
“I’m going to start walking now.” With a nervous smile and another sigh, she began to lead the woman and the Frostfawn deer. Carefully, she navigated them down a trail, using the smoothest path that she could. All Sera hoped, was that she could help the deer. She knew that if her were really injured, he’d need help. The best place to take him would be the Hold that knows animals well, and that was Frostfawn. But then she heard the deer snort and stomp his foot.
Turned on her toes, Sera looked at the deer. He shook his head as if he was upset and stomped his feet again. “What’s going on?!” Sera cried, and moved closer to Jesslyn. She took her arm, desperately hoping to move her out of the way if the deer decided to start shaking his head around more violently. Even though he was injured, he was still a wild animal. The last thing they needed at this point was to get hit by his antlers. |

When Jesslyn’s hand covered her mouth, Sera just breathed. Jesslyn was right. They were by themselves with an animal that needed help. If there were a predator around, the Frostfawn and the Vantha girls would be the number one targets. Her eyes changed into a dark green.
She scanned the area, not able to see anything near them. It was possible that there was another Frostfawn nearby, but Sera couldn’t see any. She bit her lip, and then looked at the deer and Jesslyn. It seemed as if they were drawn to each other. There was definitely a connection between the two of them. Sera smiled, and then took the staff again. “We do need to keep moving.” She agreed with a whisper and very gently began to walk again, listening to Jesslyn humming to the Frostfawn as they moved.
At first she thought that they might have been over reacting. She let out a nervous giggle. But then, there was movement up ahead. Sera stretched her neck to look beyond a tree. There was a crunch, and then another. There was definitely something there. Without thinking, the girl let go of the staff and moved around the tree, being very careful where to step. She immediately stopped, and leaned against the trunk of the tree. Nothing seemed to be ahead of her, except a little ways away was the lake. Just when she about to turn to tell Jesslyn, there was another noise behind her. Sera froze. |
