Jesslyn and the deer were both grateful, well Jesslyn at least hoped that the deer was, when they started to move. While Jesslyn used Sera and the deer for sight she could still only see so far. Jesslyn barley hard Sera's nervous giggle she was so concentrated on hearing around them.

Jesslyn's ears focused on the sounds of crunching coming from in front of them. Jesslyn went to protest when Sera let go of the staff and moved out of her vision. Jesslyn's throat tightened when she heard the noise also come from behind them. The deer shook it's head and stomped. Nerves were getting the better of all three.

Jesslyn went to move forward to find Sera but the deer wouldn't let her get by. Jesslyn panicked when she heard the sound of someone turning and then a catch in her breath. They were surrounded and Jesslyn couldn't see by what. She let out a low growl of frustration and felt the deer tense after wards.

Jesslyn slowly pet the deer and tried to control her anger. But her eye's showed that she was frustrated when more heated red started to bleed out. The tingling in her eye's telling her they were some-what alive.

Turning Stones

OOCSo... I don't even know if I'm allowed to bring this animal into it, but I thought I'd take a chance. xD I was thinking that it could be a young Talderan Sabretooth.

Sera felt sick to her stomach. Her eyes narrowed on the white feline creature that was standing a few feet behind Jesslyn and the Frostfawn. "Morwen..." She whispered, her body trembling. Out of the corner of her eye, something moved. The Vantha turned her head to only see the normal shimmer of snow and ice. When she looked back the large cat was crouching down.

The deer began to stomp it's feet and shake it's head around angrily. But Sera could tell it was in pain. It huffed and made almost a growling noise. The cat began to move around them, to the right, keeping low to the ground. It was circling them.

Acting on reflex, Sera moved towards Jesslyn again. Whether it was out of pity for her new found friend who could not see, or just out of protection, Sera pushed Jesslyn between her and the Frostfawn, knowing that the deer would keep her safe. It obviously cared for her. There was another sound, the opposite direction of the cat. It raised itself, no longer crouching, and let out a hiss. "Jesslyn, I think we're in trouble." Sera spoke. "I think we're really in trouble." She panicked.

Jesslyn could finally see the animal when it came into her view distance. It was a large feline... Panic welled up in Jesslyn as it crouched. Jesslyn squeezed a little harder on the deer and regretted it immediately when the deer stomped and shook its head more. Jesslyn loosened her grip and almost tightened it when another sound came from in front of her.

Jesslyn was pushed between Sera and the Frostfawn but she was still able to see the faint shape of the feline. After another sound the cat raised itself and let out a hiss. Jesslyn quickly nodded her head when Sera spoke but realized she can't hear her head move.

So Jesslyn tried to be the stronger of the two mentally, "We'll be fine. There's something bigger here and its not interested in us. That cat will stay away as long as it is not on the same side as the deer. We need to keep it in front of us." Jesslyn's voice wanted to crack but she wouldn't allow it.

No one was getting hurt on her watch.

The cat began to circle them. Sera kept her arm out in front of Jesslyn, and kept her eyes focused on the creature. She moved according to how it moved, trying to guide them back when the large cat moved closer. She had heard somewhere that predators would try and trap their prey. Is this what was going on? Sera made the mistake of glancing behind her. When she did, the large wild cat leapt towards them.

Sera didn’t even have the time to scream when the Frostfawn deer pushed past both of the Vantha girls. Sera found herself sitting in a pile of snow. She watched as the Frostfawn positioned himself between the cat and the girls, and held a defensive stance, his head lowered, forcing his sharp glassy antlers towards the vicious cat. Once again, there was a sound behind them. She took a deep intake of breath and turned. There was the familiar shimmer of snow and ice reflecting the sun, but once again she couldn’t see anything.

Suddenly the Deer moved towards the large cat, moving its head back and forth. The cat began to retreat, after looking past the Frostfawn. Sera narrowed her eyes, and then looked back again. Was it possible that his herd were nearby? Was that what was going on? She got to her feet and looked behind them, trusting that the Frostfawn knew what he was doing. Instead of looking at her level, she looked at the ground, hoping to find prints in the snow.

Jesslyn was definitely going in panic mode. Sera kept her arm out in front of Jesslyn but never faced her. Which Jesslyn was really the smarter things to do. Jesslyn used the muffled vibrations of Sera and the definite ones of the deer to move around with out stuttering.

Jesslyn heard more than saw the cat leap at the girls when Sera's blur moved a little more of a twisty way. One minute Jesslyn is standing and the next she's sitting next to Sera in a pile of snow and watching as the deer lowered it's head. Jesslyn wanted to scream out but she stopped when a sound and familiar vibration appeared behind her.

As Sera moved to get up and the deer moved to the cat Jesslyn found herself at a loss. Quickly getting to her feet Jesslyn stopped Sera from moving, "Sera... back up before things get bloody." Sera was very close the the lowered head of another deer. One bigger than the one they were traveling with.

Jesslyn could only see it because of at least two more sets of hooves surrounding it and amplifying it's own vibrations. "I think his herd found us Sera."

Sure enough, there were prints in the snow, multiple sets of prints. Her eyes darted back and forth between them, before she looked at the air above them. Once again, Sera narrowed her eyes and that’s when she truly saw, right in front of her was another Frostfawn. Her mouth opened in awe, as well as surprise. She found herself losing track of what was really taking place.

But then Jesslyn’s words brought her out of her momentary daydream. Sera took a step back. With a deep breath, she turned to look at Jesslyn. “Yes, let’s go!” She whispered and took the Vantha’s hand in hers.

With a quick glance around, she moved them several meters away. She watched as the Frostfawn that had stayed with them while they walked approached the cat, antlers low. She blinked several times and watched as two other deer moved next to him, their bodies reflecting the sunlight as they moved.

“Jess, we should go.” She spoke as quietly as she could. “We need to head back into town. I don’t want to watch this.” Sera was trembling.

Jesslyn calmed down again when Sera took a step back from the sharp horns of the FrostFawn and then let out a sigh of relief when she grabbed her hand. Allowing her vision to expand a little through Sera.

Sera moved the girls away from the deers and cat and Jesslyn was only able to get a couple more glimpses of the scene happening before them before she could only see Sera's blur and a little of their surroundings. Jesslyn let out a breathe when she realized she wouldn't be able to see the vibrations of the cat dying.

She had seen the vibrations of things dying and it was scary and sad. Slowly the vibrations of the creature dying would start to disappear. And when they stopped it was like she couldn't see them. She knew they were there but the vibrations that were once lively turn stale and blend in with its surroundings.

Jesslyn was quickly pulled out of her relief when she noticed Sera's form was shakier. As Sera spoke Jesslyn figured out why. Jesslyn pulled the Vantha closer towards her and turned her away from the scene, "Lead us that way and once we're far enough away head to your right. That way we're away from the fight but still heading to where ever we're near." Jesslyn whispered. Her voice strong for her sister Vantha.

Sera listened to Jesslyn's words as she turned to face her. “Okay, head there-” She pointed as she whispered, “Turn right.” She nodded. “I can do that.” She tightened her grip on the older girl's hand. “Come on.” They began to walk forward.

The Vantha girl refused to look at the animals as she walked, quickly and carefully. She did everything possible to avoid looking back. Determined to keep herself from breaking down, she started talking, the amount of adrenaline that rushed through her veins began to wane. “So, Jesslyn, I feel like I've probably seen you around. And if I did and if I acted weird or anything, I feel bad now. I'm sorry.” She said. Sounds echoed in the air. Horrible, nasty sounds that made Sera clench her jaw. Trying to distract herself, she continued, “This has been quite an adventure, nothing like what I had expected today to turn.”

Once she had wandered far enough, she led Jesslyn to the right. “Jess...” She started again once they had walked far enough away that the wind had become louder than the sounds coming from the animals, “I was so scared. Were you scared? That was scary... Wait! Are you alright?” She stopped in her tracks and took the Vantha's shoulders.

Something above Jesslyn's head caught her attention. It the was a building. The roof of a building. They were close to home. Her eyes widened. “Jess! We're back!” Sera hadn't realized how close they had been to the Frostfawn hold the whole time. “And no wonder we've seen, er sorry... wandered into, so many animals.”

Jesslyn slowly brought her eyes from being large as Sera stopped shaking her and exclaimed they were back. "That's great Sera. Now would you stop shaking me? Next I'll have brain damage and not be able to talk!"

Jesslyn pried Sera's hands of her shoulders and shook her head at her apology, "I'm blind. But i can still 'see' in a sense. Don't worry about offending me on little things like that!" Jesslyn smiled and took hold of Sera's hand. "Now lead on! I really would like to get home now."
