Closed The Place with Black Feathers (Eida)

[Arckhebohn]

Winter 76, AV 512 The winter was nearing it's end and Arckhebohn and his companion Eida took a long journey from the day when they met. He felt like it was yesterday when he first met that legendary creature called Ethaefal. It was like that they were living in a reverse word because Eida couldn't see in daytime so they mostly travelled when the night has fallen. It took some time for him to get used to it but he enjoyed the nights with her. And in some way not just Eida but Arckhebohn as well liked the night sky. It was almost as dark as him so he thought sometimes that it's like that the sky and him are one. Like he owns it and can do anything with it according to his will. It was a fantastic feeling for him especially now that he got an aim and a new hope. While he was thinking about these kinds of things bellow a huge tree he was watching Eida sleeping on his lap. He has already wakened up about 1-2 hours ago so he had full strength. While the sun was about to disappear he could see that the moon more and more. It was nice to know that it's time for them to start their day again. Arckhebohn knew that her shape will change again soon so before that he wanted to wake her up. Though he wouldn't have done it with pleasure because she slept so calmly and happily but it was for the best to do so before her shape change. - Eida - he whispered - the moon is up it's time for us to go. She was mumbling something but didn't wake up. ~ Maybe it's better to leave her, she will wake up soon anyway. ~ The moment the sun disappeared from the sky she was beginning to change. Her claws were withdrawing slowly and her skin was changing from ashy to opalescent. After this her violet horns began to grow. He has seen it many times already but this process never seemed to bore him. It could be just as incredible as when he change his shape. When she opened her eyes he smiled at her. - Good evening Eida.

[Eida]

Eida had a wonderful dream. It wasn't really special but it was beautiful. She could sleep a bit more. But the time had come. A gentle, deep voice went through her mind. " Eida...the moon is up it's time for us to go." She knew that voice. It was her soul mate, Arckhebohn. She openned her eyes slowly. She was careful, even the sun were going down. She felt pity she couldn't see at the Sun because even it hurted her eyes she liked Sun it had it's own miracle.

-A new day- She whispered while she was waking up. It was nice to her to sleep on Arck's lap. It was warm and comfortable. But a new awaited and she liked to continue her journey. She got up from his lap and she was rubbing her eyes. The moon came up. Her form changed. Her skin became opalescent, her claws grow back. her hair didn't change it was still white. Her violet horns came up. The night has came. It was time about to go. She looked at Arckhebohn and with her hands she touched his face.

-Good evening, darling! Shall we explore our new night?- She smiled at him. They had some little affair for each other. It was blooming by everyday. Their bond became stronger. Eida really liked him.

[Arckhebohn]

While Eida was waking up he was stretching his arms and legs too. He stayed in the same position for a long time so it was good to stand up again. When she touched her face he felt a warm feeling in his body. Even if it was winter he warmed up just by looking at her or touches her. He was glad that he chose to be with her. It was the best decision in his life. - I'm looking forward to it. While you were sleeping I thought that we can head north. I'm not sure why but something tells me that we should go that way. When he replied to Eida he was also thinking about the reason of that direction. They could go anywhere to just walk or to hunt. Any place is good for them as long as they are together. This thought really bugged him and wanted to find out why more than anything. Not that they have any other important things to do. Before doing anything he wanted to check that he has everything in his bag. Though it's not the real reason but he liked to travel with Eida because that way she could take his bag so he could fly without worrying about it. Because their lifestyle he always kept some fruit and seeds in his bag so if they would be hungry they can eat. But one way or another he loved hunting. To track down animals especially in the night when they are the most vulnerable. It was hard to find them because they hid from the night but this made the whole hunting more enjoyable. And when he finally after a long time he found something it was always worth it. Not because he had food again but because of the feeling to be successful. Just like his father taught him back then. Minutes later when he finished preparing he said something to Eida that he first he would like to look around. So he changed into a raven and flapped his wings. It didn't take long to arrive in the sky. He didn't want to go far and his real aim was to refresh himself. And as always the flying was the best method for this. In the past before he met Eida he didn't stay human for that long but now it's almost the opposite. Though he spend a lot of time as a raven he rests daytime in his human form so Eida can feel herself comfortable. When he felt that he is fully awake now he got back to Eida and landed on the bag. He didn't want to turn back just now.

[Eida]

Eida never worried about to where to go. She just put up the bag and followed Arck. She liked travelling around the trees. They could see some miracles at Leth's light. Even his friend was hunting small animals however she tried to cure the helpless one. She liked the nature. The nature with animals and plants. She discovered her secret power. She could age things with her touch. With that she aged small wounds by a day which could save some animal life. She always asked Arck to hunt only as many as he needs to but not more.

Well she did the same way. She put up the bag and she stood up. She looked up and she saw the moon, hardly because the trees but she saw it. When Arck came back she smiled at him and walked to the direction. While she was walking she looked back to the Kelvic.

-Then we should head to north. Not sure? Don't worry about that. The night has some mysteries in it which nobody understands. But we can't find out these miracles if we don't go and take look with our own eyes. Leth will guide our path at the night. I'm her daughter, I'm sure he will help, my dear raven. I can thank him a lot. He is always with us at night. Always. -

Eida not only liked the nature, she liked Leth, himself too. He sent her here and because of him she could meet with Arck, with her soul mate. She liked to help Leth himself too someway. Eida turned back and was walking forward and wanted to find out what the future held for them at that night.

[Arckhebohn]

Eida always knew what to say to Arckhebohn. Every time he was in doubt about something no matter if it's life or death, or just something small thing her words gave him the courage to make a decision and go for it no matter what. This was one of things why he didn't want to leave her side and why he felt some affection about her. When she started to go north he followed her. From time to time he landed on a tree or a bigger rock to look around and wait for Eida. The Wildlands might not be as dangerous as The Suvan See but as someone who lived all his life in the woods learned to be careful when it's dark. They were not the only one who was awake and though Arckhebohn didn't know every wild animal he knew some which hunts especially at night. And it would be bad to meet one. Luckily they haven't met any which was more likely because as a raven he could watch from above and this way they where he saw something he chose another path to avoid it. Travelling around was a good thing for both of us. Or at least that is what he thought. While flying around Eida he was searching for some seeds or something to eat. He wasn't that hungry but at least he could practise his senses and observation skill that way. He could never know when he will need it. While he was looking around he saw an interesting tree. It was just like the others but it reminded him about something. Before checking it out he went back to Eida to tell her what he found. After he changed his shape he looked at her. - Eida I think I found something. There is a tree nearby which is somehow familiar but I don't know why. There might be a connection when I was a child but... but I don't know. It's all too foggy. He seemed to be a bit lost while talking. It's like that he wanted to remember but he didn't know what it was. It was a terrible feeling and he didn't know what to do. There must be a way for him to remember and this was maybe what he hoped from Eida. If they get to tree together they might able to find something which will help. If it really is something from his past then there must be some trace or some sign which could help them.

[Eida]

Walking around the trees. So fascinating, so refreshing for her. She took Arck's bag with her and was staring at the raven while he was leading the way for them. It was so silent around them. He didn't see many animals around them. Then Arckhebohn came down to her. A familiar tree. Elaine smiled at him and looked at the place.

- Interesting isn't it? A place like that. Somepeople would say it's the same like the others in that forest. But you could tell it's different. Don't force yourself. Look around and enjoy the sight. There will be some picture about the past soon like I had, have and will have. Want to go further or want to examine the tree more? -

Eida took Arck's hand. She stepped to that tree with him. She couldn't climb up there. But she looked up and saw a mark on the tree. A mark, it looked like a claw made that. And there was a feather deep in it. Eida asked Arck.

- Can you see that mark? It was made by a claw for sure. And there is a feather deep in it if I see it right. Would you help me to get? Just hold me and I will get it and will check that mark myself. -

[Arckhebohn]

- I need to solve this mystery. He wanted to use this chance out so he might get closer to his past and his family. It was the first time to find something like this tree and he was really excited about it. As they were closing to it he was tried to do as Eida said and calmed himself down. It's never good to force anything because even if you are good at something you won't be able to do your best that way. It will distract you from seeing what's right in front of you. This was another lesson what his father taught him and he smiled a bit after thinking it through. When they finally got there it didn't take long for Eida to find something. When she said the word "feather" his heart began to beat faster. ~ Could that be..? ~ He was thinking about 10 possible explanations in a a second. For example that it's some kind of message from his parents. Or that it's the trace of some kind of fight between two animals. If that feather is like his it would mean that his parents left it to her for some reason. But even if it's true then why? To search for them? Or this is a memorial place? Whatever it might be they will find it out very soon. He stepped closer to Eida and held her while she took a closer look.

[Eida]

She let the the Kelvic to brang her up. Then she took of the feather. It was black and looked like the one that Arck had. She set the feather in her hair next to her horn. Then she touched and looked at the mark.

- I hope I'm not hard to lift. Give me only a minute or two! -

She said and examined it. It wasn't really a symbol or something it was a usual mark. You could've seen the trace of a bird's claws. It's sure now Arck was there. She asked Arck to let her down. She put out the feather from her hair and gave into Arck's hands. It was as soft as his feathers. Could they really find a place now? Elaine held the Kelvic's hand again.

- I told you didn't I? Leth guided us here he helped. This feather is as soft as yours. No wonder you remembered something about this tree. It is connected to your past. And my darling, after you took a look at it can you give me? Maybe it's weird but could you?-

[Arckhebohn]

It wasn't Eida's weight which made an uneasy feeling in Arckhebohn. It was something what he couldn't explain. He waited patiently for her and when she gave her the feather then a wondrous thing happened: He remembered. It all happened when he was really small. He couldn't even fly back then. Her mother told him stories about how she met with her father and about their life how they live. She also shared a little secret with him. There was a place near this tree where they hid a lot of treasures. Not just Arckhebohn but his parents also liked bright things so if they would find something they always put it in a place where nobody could find it. Their memories about hunts or their life were there. When he learned to fly his father showed this place to him but he didn't let him to see what's in that place until he will leave his family to live his own life. Unfortunately he was kidnapped before time so he has never known had a chance to see it. Until now. He noticed that for a while he was just staring that feather. The time stopped around him or so he thought so. Then he looked in Eida's eyes deeply then smiled. But in the same time a teardrop came from his right eye. He couldn't be happier that he finally remembered something so important that it could lead to his parents. And in the same time he was so sad that he was forced to leave his family. He couldn't stop himself and hugged her. He didn't want to let her go. Ever. - My dearest Ethaefal… Without you I wouldn't know where I would be. You gave me back what I have lost a long time ago. I owe you with my life for this.

[Eida]

She was happy for him. Arck could find something finally what he lost for long time ago. Eida hugged him back. It was eternal for her. If only in that but she could help him. She held him for long she didn't want to let him away from her arms.

-You don't owe me anything. It's enough for me that you got a treasure back. Let's move on my bird. The night is young and there should be other things which can give your precious memories back. Tell me what can you see in your memory? What can you hear? What can you smell, what can you touch?-

When Eida said that she let Arckhebohn at the end. But not fully. She was still holding his hands with the black feather with it. She looked at his eyes. She wiped off his tears from his face then hugged him again.
