An undead citadel created before the cataclysm, Sahova is devoted to all kinds of magical research. The living may visit the island, if they are willing to obey its rules. [Lore]

The Rubellum Chamber
Though still beautiful, this chamber of the Palsa Hydrasa is slightly more somber than the majestic pool and Amaryllis’ temple-like office. The Rubellum Chamber is where all shipments of corpses from the mainland end up: here, they are embalmed and stored (via Amaryllis’ embalming practices, along with Ice Reimancy and Glyphing) in large stone sarcophagi that slide out of the walls like very large stone drawers. Each drawer has a plaque on the front of it with a short description of the body within, matching the description written in the ledger.
At the far end of the Rubellum Chamber is an ornately decorated alcove, mimicking the tiled designs of the main chamber. There is a huge, ornate door here as well; it is heavily decorated, with a very large set of iron handles. It looks almost like it wouldn’t open: however, this door actually opens onto a tunnel which leads to the Warehouses, near Sahova’s harbor. When shipments of corpses arrive in Sahova, they are loaded onto giant cart-like golems (Corpse Golems). These golems are programmed similarly to Follower Golems, but they do not lead denizens of the island around; they simply know where to go. Much like the journey that the living (or undead) take on Sahova’s carriages, the Corpse Golems travel from the Harbor to the Warehouses, and from there enter the tunnel to the Palsa Hydrasa through a hidden passageway. |
