[2nd day of spring 513.a.v.]
[City center]
[The Institute of Higher Learning]
[Early morning]
For years, Amelia has been traveling back and forth between the two cities, between her parents. She was still a bit lost to, why she has decided on stayed in Ravok, how come she decided to become a citizen and everything else in between was a blur. Especially the people, the people she had met once was nothing, but the interesting relationship she had developed with some of the citizens kept her head occupied with questions that she didn’t know the answer to, or just didn’t want to admit them to herself.
One way or the other, Amelia had settled here and was even planning on getting a permanent housing available for her. Everything was looking up to her or so she was sure of. Now, all that was left was pleasing her father. Sometime around winter she had managed to tell him that she was going to be staying in Ravok. Instantly the man was filled with joy and plans for her, one of them was to have her study in the Institute. Amelia was never too keen on the idea, as time passed, she decided that it would be a time worth spent. Above all, her father was angered when she first declined the opportunity upon her first visit to the city.
Near to 20 days had passed and her father had managed to arrange the needed documentation for her. She has heard that a lot of people come to Ravok to earn the opportunity of studying and fail, therefor she just couldn’t say no to her father’s offer when at the end of winter he had settled all of the paperwork. So now, she was standing in front of the huge building that somehow bout amazed the girl and frightened her. Amelia’s eyes couldn’t be drawn away from the details of the statues and carving of the building, the monstrous creatures represented were bout amazing and horrifying. Taking a deep breath she made a few steps forth.
It was rumored, that only the ones who are truly worthy can enter unharmed, or was it ‘the ones invited? She couldn’t remember, but she had entered the institute for the first time of her life she was happy and a slight bit calmer. But the huge grounds that were filled with statues of wizards and all in all, it was rather beautiful in its own way. However, she was still worried. Even worried enough to leave, but before she lost the last bit of confidence and flew away, there was a voice that called for her.
”May I help you?” came a strong voice of a man form behind Amelia. She quickly turned around, to only face a man of middle age. Dark hair and fine clothes, but that didn’t catch her attention first, what got to the girl was his kind face and eyes. Something she didn’t really intend to see here. Was he a student? Could he be a teacher? The man looked a bit too young to be a teacher, or maybe she thought so because most of the teachers she remembered form Zeltiva were old?
One way or the other, she performed a small curtsy and introduced herself ”I am Amelia Cross, daughter of Dominick Cross…I~” the man just smiled, as it was clear that Amelia was lost in words. ”You must be here to attend the studies?” to this, she just nodded, unsure of what she should do ”My name is Luvet, I’m the morphing teacher of this institute, if you have any questions…?” ”It’s a pleasure, I am looking for someone to have my enrollment finished…See, I have the approved papers, but my father said I should have some formalities settled” Amelia finished as she pulled out the envelope containing her recommendation and the approval of the ebonstryfe. Luvet looked over it and nodded to himself. ”Very well, what kind of enrollment are you looking for, lady Cross? ” he asked, and then Amelia was truly caught off all guard.
