Scratching the Surface (Agathon Minorium)

02 Spring, 513 AV- Early morning at Thundiirn's house

Everything was arranged perfectly. And he meant everything, not that there was much to arrange. Being a Nuit had granted him with immortality, sure, but it had also stolen one of his most favorite mistresses, Sleep. Without his fabulous nights with her, he had what could be phrased no better than too much time on his hands, and not enough goals. This evening he had spent his abundance of time organizing his meager belongings in the comfort of his home, but the practice had quickly dissolved into a compulsive need to make everything perfect.
Go ahead, it's not as if you're not going to throw everything everywhere tomorrow when you lose one thing anyway. Then you'll be able to do it all again tomorrow night!

More than just a little truth rang out in this mental thought, but nevertheless Thundiirn ignored it. Truth was, he was going crazy with all this extra time obtained from not sleeping and needed something to do, or someone to talk to.

He glanced down at his body, noting how it was already showing visible signs of damage, a result of him not being practiced at caring for it yet. How disconcerting it was, watching the body you've had for almost thirty years slowly rot as you still live in it. It would take some getting used to, that was for sure. Luckily, most of the damage was on his feet and torso, so it wasn't all that noticeable yet.

The sun would rise soon, though, he could already see it peeking up over the land as he looked out through the door-less frame of the entrance to his home, and with it all the little imperfections that continuously popped up over him would be more noticeable. He'd had to make a serious effort from here on to take particular care of his face and hands, as that is what people saw of him most often. No need to draw unwanted attention...
I am nowhere. I am everywhere. I am the watcher unseen

Scratching the Surface (Agathon Minorium)

Postby Agathon Minorium on March 8th, 2013, 11:05 pm

Agathon coughed a bit as he exhaled a very large amount of smoke. He took a quick look at the pulp he had rolled before he decided that there was none left. He threw it away and made a big effort to stand up, only to find himself on the ground. He had just finished the last leaf from what he had bought from his undead acquaintance. Everything was spinning around fast and a weird beeping sound was stuck in his ear. He put his hands against the ground and pushed hard. He had forgotten why he wanted to stand up in the first place. He looked at the door and started laughing on his own. ''What kind of adventure do you have for me this time..Ha..Haha...Hahahaha!'' he said deliriously, before he started coughing hysterically. His throat felt like it was on fire. He closed his eyes and gulped a big amount of saliva.

And as his opened his eyes, he wasn't in his house anymore. He was now on the sea market. People where all around him, everywhere he turned. They weren't talking to him, but he felt like he could read their thoughts. Well not quite, but with one look in their eyes he could easily understand what they were thinking.
You god damn parasyte.
You're a nothing
You should just disappear from this world
He sat down on the ground and put his head on his legs, covering his ears with his hands.

GET AWAY! LEAVE ME ALONE!he shouted with all his power. Tears started running down his face. And then there was silence. He was alone at the docks, looking at the dark, starless sky. He saw no light in the endless horizon. He was quickly disrupted by footsteps, somebody was approaching. He couldn't turn move his body. Someone was next to him, staring at him silently while his gaze was stuck in the empty night sky.

Do you really want to be alone?
It was a female voice. It sounded familiar.
Come on, i'm sure my prince would love some company!

Gia?!
He turned around but no one was there. He could remember that something had happened between them. Something bad. He had lost her. He turned to the sea, closed his eyes and started screaming. When he opened his eyes again he was staring at his door. With all that had happened vaguely floating in his mind, he stood up. He took a deep breath and started walking towards the door. Quickly losing his balance, he found himself back on the floor. He didn't know why, but he had to go out. He stood up again, opened the door and exited his apartment.

Without any idea of where he was going or why, he started walking in Sunberth. It could be day or it could be night. All he knew was that he had to walk. A little part of him hoped he could just disappear in the endless dark sky, just cease existing. Maybe that's why he was walking without a purpose. He was just trying to forget about his pitiful form of existance.

He felt like he was walking for days, or even weeks. Like there would be no end to his stroll, he could just walk there for eternity. But soon, to his surpise, he run into someone familiar and that was enough to drag him out of the chaos that was his own mind for a few seconds

Hah...Haha..Thundiirn?
he started walking towards the grim figure slowly, like a broken puppet.''Thundiirn, please... don't let me...Fade away.'' the last part sounded more like a statement than a request. His eyesight started getting blurry. His eyes kept getting heavier and heavier and as soon as they closed completely, his body automatically shut down.
Much more happiness is to be found in the world than gloomy eyes discover.
