Permission to Woo [Inia]

OOCI'm so sorry this took so long!

13th of Spring, 513 AV

Jasha rubbed the back of his head and huffed out a breath, his nerves getting the better of him and making him sweat. He had spent the last few days snooping around for information about a certain Skyglow, and (mainly thanks to his sisters) he had finally found the location of the Arvinta in which she and her family lived. All through his searching and even during his short travel to their home he had been confident, perhaps overly so, about what he was planning to do, despite the fact that the plan had little more aim in it than to talk to her and perhaps win over her parents and express his intent. However his courage seemed to drain from his with every step and by the time he found himself at her door her was strongly considering turning around and walking back home.

He had left Vassi with his sister Mika (who had not so subtly claimed Vassi in case Jasha spontaneously died.) and with his home now unburdened went about making himself as presentable as was possible; shaving his face, combing his hair and getting dressed into his most presentable clothes.

Standing outside of Inia's Arvinta Jasha smoothed down the back of his hair and tugged at his shirt in an attempt to get rid of the crinkles. Exhaling slowly he raised his fist and knocked on the door before him.

Permission to Woo [Inia]

Postby Inia Skyglow on March 13th, 2013, 12:36 am

Mmmm, thought Inia, smiling. This bed is soft. The girl was laying, face down, on her bed. It was late in the day, almost sunset. She'd only worked the first half of the day; having completed her agenda quicker than normal, Inia decided to walk home. She'd wasted her afternoon in a state somewhere between wakefulness and sleep.

Presently, she was feeling refreshed and awake. It had been, in her opinion, far too long since she'd had an afternoon such as this. She was quite loathe to leave her bedroom at all, but she knew she'd have to eat something soon. Her parents were likely to insist on it. For the moment, though, she buried her face in her bed, smiling peacefully.

She was lucky to have her own bedroom at all. Most Vantha children shared a single room with their siblings until they were married. Though it was a tragedy in many respects, Inia quite enjoyed this aspect of being an only child. Her mother, Ornia, had grown quite ill when Inia was seven years old, and had never fully recovered. Her parents had talked of children before that, but not since.

Inia's reverie was interrupted suddenly by a loud knocking sound. She sat up quickly, listening. It wasn't a knock on her door, but on the door to her family's Arvinta proper. Inia frowned curiously.

Why in Morwen's name would there be someone knocking at this hour? she thought to herself. She stood up, brushing her hair away from her eyes. As she left her room, curious about the as-of-yet unknown visitor, she heard her father answer the door.

“Hello! How can I be of service?” the man said loudly. His voice was great and booming, it carried far and generally shocked people upon their first meeting with him. Inia rolled her eyes as she tried to see who was at the door.
If I'm speaking something besides Vani, I'll say I am. I probably won't speak anything else, though. Or maybe I will, and I'll do something fun with it. Something really fun.
