Orion, 50th Day of Spring, 513 AV It had been over half a season since Orion had made a life altering decision. Laying down his scalpel, picking up the blade and shield. No longer would he wait for injuries to come to him. Instead, the injuries would be prevented before they could happen to the common folk. At least he would try to make that happen. Dinah Lorene, his patron knight, had managed to remain patient with him, though he was likely not making the progress she had hoped for when she took him on as a squire, she'd remained patient to this point. It was a very different game to bring an adult into to the fray when compared to a malleable youth. The adult was set in their ways, and had to be fixed. The youth was like a fresh lump of clay, ready to be molded into a perfect Syliran Knight. Orion was certain to continue being a challenge for her, and after a particularly unfruitful training session the beautiful knight had gotten fed up with dealing with the doctor's inabilities, at least for the time being. Dinah sent Orion off for the day, told him to unwind and be ready for a day he'd never forget. Getting so drunk he forgot who he was didn't seem like the best way to prepare for that. The Rearing Stallion was out. He didn't really want the attention, and all he would do then was drink. So perhaps there was another option.. With a blade strapped at his side, and a small bag of coins in hand, the unarmored Orion had decided on The Spinning Coin. There he could drink, toss dice, play cards, and maybe even catch a fight. As he walked in, Orion scanned the locale quickly, but it was quite obvious where all the excitement was this evening. The cage was set up. There was a fight this evening, and it was sure to bring in a lot of income. People were betting on those involved, cheering, and even throwing a few cat calls, which the former doctor found odd. Is it mud wrestling night? Orion made his way over slowly, sliding between excited patrons to get a good look at the action going on. Imagine Orion's surprise when a familar blonde woman was one of the combatants. This realization caused an eyebrow to raise in reaction, as he involuntarily spoke her name. "...Kyra?" This I've got to see... |
