Sira frowned at the strange howls. They did not sound like normal wovles. Sira was familiar with normal wolves. In fact, her daughter had been conceived right after Sira had narrowly escaped being eaten by a wolf pack. She had Natalie's father to thank for that, though she no longer had any sort of contact with the man, and had no idea if he was even alive. Most likely he had perished in the djed storm.
Sira was not overly concerned, however. Most of the time wolves did not attack humans, and even if they did, Sira could shift and any normal would would flee at the sight of a wind eagle. Of course.. they might also not be normal wovles. There were strange creatures about, as a result of the storm, and if that was indeed what she was hearing, Sira hoped they would not have to tangle with them. ..unless of course it turned out the "wolves" were the creatures they were looking for.
Arandolya's attack on the rabbit did not surprise Sira nearly as much as it did Iosha. Sira was a very observant kelvic, and as soon as the woman called for them to stop Sira spotted the movement in the underbrush. It was too small to be anything dangerous, most likely, and when the rabbit appeared Sira was not surprised to see an arrow pierce it a moment later. There could be no hesitation in hunting, not when a perfect shot was presented to you.
"Good job! Hopefully we can catch a few more of those, but if not, it will do."
Sira frowned again when she heard another set of howls. They did not actually sound any closer, but neither did they sound farther away. When Iosha voiced her concern, Sira's frown only grew deeper and the Endal nodded her head.
"They might be. We should look for a good place to camp, and then get a fire going as quickly as we can. Wolves don't like fire."
