Amolina wears make-up at most occasions, sometimes dramatic, artistic and elaborate, sometimes more understated, but always there. Sometimes she also wears a mask. Summer 514 AV she is 26 years. The exact details about Amolina’s birth isn't known but she is born in Summer 488 AV on the 12th day. She stands 5 feet 5 inces high (167 cm) and looks to weigh around 130 lbs (61 kg). Amolina is a free citizen, but she has been told she is likely the product of generations of liasons involving slaves as well as citizens in Ravok. This means she is of mixed ancestry, a walking melting pot of races, albeit all human. Her hair is dark brown, but her light crystal blue eyes are perhaps speaking of a Benshira among her ancestors ? And the creative talents, are they a Vantha inheritance? And are there other things vaguely hinting at other inheritances ? Perhaps. But most of her origins are forgotten and unknown,at least to the authorities and other people in the city. She is simply known as the foster daughter of an umarried fisherwoman, a citizen of Ravok named Ana Moletta, and her father is unknown. Character Concept Coming from poor circumstances, Amolina is an ambitious but unknown actress. She wants to climb up the social ladder, improve her financial standing and be able to afford the little luxuries life offers the successful and the wealthy. Character History It's best to not speak too much about the past, sometimes ! Let it be enough said that Amolina grew up in a poor home in the Docks of Ravok, with what that entails. Her foster mother Ana Moletta as well as her fishing boat went missing in action during the Djed storm 512. Today Amolina has no family. Amolina has been dreaming of success as a performer on the stage for a long period of time, and put lots of effort into practising her acting, but have so far not seen her dreams come true. Temporary jobs has been a way for her to earn money to pay the bills - it has also been dangerous and it has given her lingering effects of posion and medical treatments that affect her health. In 513 AV she became associated with Valerius Nitrozian, after having met him at KRI and managed to worm herself to the position as his assisant at work. In order to compete with KRI they founded a research project together and recruited a third partner, Nolan Parnell (Inoadar). But alas a few actions from the past backlashed and Amolina is being blackmailed by an Ebonstryfe Commander to betray her associates and leak information about the project. In spring 514 her life changed radically when she stole a half-isur baby after having assisted at an abortion that backfired. As Amolina had killed the mother and was scared of repercussions she got rid of the corpse and registered the baby her as her own daughter, Pearl Moletta (NPC)IC Born & Stolen Day 4 of Spring 514 AV Pearl : Later in Spring 514 AV she was pressured into leaving Ravok, by the Ebonstryfe commander Xavier Galatos who had found a report she had "unwittingly" written to a member of the Rising Dawn one year earlier. For reasons unknown, he used this to "offer his protection" and bring her with him on a mission outside Ravok which he didn't give her any details about. Amolina took a cautious farewell of the only person on Ravok who cared for her, the bartender Jeb at Silver Sliver. When she left she brought with her her dauther, her money and the necessary equipment for a journey to Nyka; she and the baby were to be passed off as Xavier's family. Early in the morning Day 63 the three of them took the ferry and headed to Lakeshore to join a merchant caravan for the journey. What happened after this isn't known. Amolina's Personality Double Edged Lovely and double edged, what else ... Amolina is true daughter of Ravok, shaped by the city and aquainted with it's different aspects. She has grown up in this culture and understands how to go about things. Pragmatic When she is under pressure, Amolina will quickly adapt to circumstances rather than keep to a fixed plan. She will bend, adapt and work around, like water floating around obstacles. Her tendency to rely on acting and fake to get by may seem opportunistic, spineless, false and despicable. But, in an utterly oppressive culture like Ravok, this behaviour is an adequate strategy for a quite powerless commoner to get by. Fakes it "Fake it until you make it" is her way of dealing with things when she isn't proficient. Amolina will often rely on her acting skills when she's out of her depth, when she's in danger. When working she can and try to get away with much acting and little work. A sucker for luxury and social position It's obvious that Amolina likes luxury, elegance, beauitful clothes, jewellery and items. She isn't able to afford so much of it, but she likes it. She can be impressed when people have wealth, power, knowledge, competence and other things that gives them a good social position. "Squeamish" reactions when confronted with death, splatter and gore She's not violent and not a "natural born killer". When it would (in some people's way of thinking) have been "possible and practical" to kill people, Amolina hasn't done it. She may seem to not like gory things like dissections either. Sometimes brave and can gamble She can be brave when it's necessary and has sometimes taken on quite dangerous jobs and when it comes to her cooperation in the reseach project she has become involved in it can in a way be said that it's a gamble. Low resilience but high hidden persistence It's not hard for a skilled interrogator to make her speak and it can be quite easy for people with social, physical or magic power to take command over her. Partly, as Amolina will adapt and play along, but she's still working for her own interests too, and tries to make things go her way by rethorics and subtle persuasion, subterfuge. Religious when it suits her Amolina's view on religion is pragmatic. It can seem like Rhysol isn't doing much for her, really, and she's under the impression that it's no use praying. So she is in turn not the most pietous person in Ravok, but being ravokian she blends in. She can sometimes feel doubt, but isn't saying it. When it suits her she acts like a true believer. An artistic side that can be troublesome There's other sides to her personality, with creativity and artistic interests, a liking for art experiments, curiousty, dreams, a tendency to try unknown things. If this side of her is visible or not depends on the people she's interacting with. The artistic side can make her do unexpected and bohemian things, impersonate others, approach problems in unconventional ways, and more. It can be contraproductive to her other goals, complicate things, create trouble and conflict. Personality Traits in Development Nobody is static. New things happen in life and people develop. This goes for Amolina too ... right now there's lots of new pressure on her, and roleplay will eventually show how this will develop her.
