With the last apotheric breath of a traveller, long walking the shrouded path of a highlander, a strange ragged figure stumbled forth into the tavern or what hadt seemed to be a local inn of sorts from the outside. The stark figure, carrying the fashion of duellist in his stride, took yet another somnolent step into the tavern, his hushed panting dying down to a whim as he observed the establishment surrounding him. A few tarnished tables were spread here and there, flimsy chairs with the odd foot stool tossed to one side. It had an ancient feel to it…it held an air of tradition, as indeed could have been noted from the array of cracked instruments lining the walls. Within moments of the traveller’s entry and assessment, the outline of the mysterious figure had vanished seconds later…

"Feline, yes. I'm just your average household cat...or I can be," she said with a wink. She got up and moved over to his table, sitting across from him. She rested her elbows on the table, her face cradled in her palms watching him carve. The darkly clad man at the other table had stopped looking at them, and was now just...staring at his table, or so she thought. She didn't pay much attention to him, after all...he didn't have the shiny. Either way, she was interested in this man, why would a Vantha, if only just half Vantha, be here? She was also very interested in the scar over his right eye. "So what brings you here to Syliras?" she asked him curiously.

She looked back to Kipps, who had finished eating and was now cleaning his paws. He looked up when she looked at him. She pointed to her bag on the floor then beckoned him over. Kipps looked at her for a few seconds, not comprehending the command, then jumped down as he realized what she was wanting. he grabbed the pack by one of the straps using his mouth and began to slowly drag the too heavy pack over to her. She giggled as she watched the small cat awkwardly pull the pack across the wooden floor. He layed down panting after finally getting to her.
"Thank you Kipps," she said, and stroked his back. He purred in response. The door opened again and a man came in. She wasn't quite sure if he was okay or if there was something wrong with him. She became utterly confused at his next moves, but almost immediately forgot about it, there were all kinds of people around these days.

Wys walked into the tavern after a six-hour shift of patrolling the Bazaar. He hated the Bazaar. Wys gave a tired smile when the barkeep saluted him. He approached the closest empty table, sat down, revealing a wide, white over black, Windoak crest on the back of his cloak; the Knight dropped his hood, and asked the smiling waitress for the "usual" and whatever they had to eat at the present moment. Wys removed the sheathed sword from his belt and put it by his side.

The he subtly looked around the tavern. Wys could've sworn the barkeep said something about animals in the tavern. Come whatever may, it wasn't Crow's business. He was already off his shift, and he learned a long while ago that work will chase him down faster if he couldn't separate his two lives; the professional and personal.

Wys sighed, slipped back into reality and decided to start with his meal.

Ohh such wonderous luck, ohh yes indeed, to have walked through the rain, hail, sleet and snow. To have twisted one's self through brambles and thorns alike, to have hacked throught the lush jungles and insidious swamps... only to find the ghastly, burbon-soaked reason for his flight to come waltzing through the front door. Damned knights... their hafted blades and pig-like greed; to imagine he'd been able to stab the last one in the throat (despite the monolithic size of the man!) and flee the scene unscathed..

God was truly a man of his word... that being only ofcourse if the poor fellow he'd felled in thine's absinence was of a religious belief himself. Regardless of this, the cloaked misantrope sitting down by the opposite side of the bar could see little faith in such a degregation of mankind...to rape one so young...surely there had been unspoken justice in his actions? and yet...the bastards hunted him still..

Keorvic heard the door open and close a few times, but cared very little for anything other than this vision of sensual beauty before him. putting on his winning-est smile, he went nearly cross-eyed trying to look at both her amazing cleavage and beautiful, deep eyes at the same time. when she looked away to giggle at her cat he settled on her cleavage, then realized that maybe he should answer her question. "crap crap crap crap what was the question??" he berated himself. oh yes. "I'm just here to do some trading and get a feel for the big city." he managed, moments before the silence would have become too awkward.

Her eyes momentarily fixed on the strange man who seemed to be seething in anger at the appearance of the knight. She actually found it slightly funny, yet also a bit troublesome at the same time. She hoped there would not be a fight, she wasn't sure she could defend herself if things got out of hand. She shrugged it off, what if's were never a good thing to think about as an adventurer, there would be no time to think of anything else if you did. She looked back to Keorvic."I see, so you do trading eh? I suppose that means you wouldn't be lookin' for a little bit of fun?" she said with a sly smile, "Maybe an adventure?" she said, offsetting the nature of her previous statement. She reached into her pack and pulled out a set of silver dice, rolling them around in her hands and marveling at the way they sparkled in the light from the fireplace.

Wystern looked up at the man who was giving him an irritated look. The Knight gave him a short salute and a challenging smirk. If the man would want to do something, then he should just come at it, or otherwise look away. Wys then looked at the cat girl whose expression changed when she looked at the hooded figure; Wys gave her a reassuring smile, and returned back to his stew. He subtly put the sheathed katana next to the chair, between his knees, just in case anything happened. Actually, the owner of this tavern was quite a fighter himself, and he would likely take Wys's side; not to mention that the maids aren't here just for...professional appeal. Ironically this tavern was one of the safest places to be in the whole Syliras.

He listened up when the girl said something about the trading. Then he skeptically looked at the girl, at how she almost mesmerized herself with a pair of shiny dice. He was just done dealing with another Kelvic nudist, and now...no, he won't get involved in that mess again for a while. However, if the merchant wants to keep his goods intact, a bit of information wouldn't hurt.

"If you are planning to run some trading, please register with the guards. They will send someone to guard your stand when you are selling your merchandise. The fee for that service is on the city, the patrols will just pay more attention to your stall." Wys said behind an ale mug. "And that's how I am still not capable of separating my profession and the rest of my life," he quietly told himself in a gloomy tone.

Moderator's Note: Lich, you don't get to do internal monologues about how you've killed Knights without consequences and raping little girls unless you actually roleplay them out. In which case there WILL be consequences. If you want to play that kind of mindless evil, you might want to look for another city. In the meantime, read my Rules for Posting that I've put up on the Syliras board in regards to breaking the law in this city.
PLEASE NOTE: Finals are over, but summer is eating my soul. As such, as of the end of June I will not be accepting any new quests/modded threads until I finish some of the ones I've already started/agreed to. My apologies for this, but I don't want to be unfair to those who have been waiting for replies!

Glancing between Akiva and the newcomer, Keoric clarified "well, not really trading as such. I'm here to do some looking around and small purchases. I had a few little pieces such as this," lifting the scrimshaw cat, "but those are all gone now. I met a charming family on the road with many children." he said chuckling lightly. "as far as adventure goes, It depends on the kind of adventure you're thinking of." Keorvic said slyly, turning back to the tantalizing Akiva. Realizing he had lost her attention to a pair of dice, he quickly amended "but I would be happy to accompany you to the bazaar to look around if you would like! Or we could head down to the docks and I could cast a line and catch a fish for your furry friend!" recognizing that this last outburst sounded almost desperate he added with a suddenly disinterested shrug, "I mean, if you want." as he glanced around feigning indifference, his eyes alighted on a dour character as few he had seen before. glancing quickly away, he hoped the quiet newcomer wouldn't take his glance as anything more than it was. his knuckles still ached slightly from "persuading" a pair of so-called merchants that he was not interested in their pointy wares while on the road.

She looked up from her dice as Keorvic answered her question. "I'm a wanderer. I don't really stay in one place very long. I actually don't plan on being here for more than a few days, but I would love to go to the bazarr! or the docks! Or both! I like fish...and so does Kipps, and they have shiny things at the bazarr!" She said enthusiatically with a gleam in her eye. Kipps rolled over onto her feet and sighed in his slumber. She put the dice in her bag again so that she would not forget them and let out a deep breath, trying not to appear quite as hyper as she felt at the moment. She thought she was doing a good job of it too, she wasn't even bouncing around or anything. She focused on Keorvic again and smiled, "so you're good with your pole eh?"
