A fun IC game, anyone?

At least you can find something new to love after you hate your favorite thing. If you only spent that one "month" doing what you love, then you'll be forced to live the rest of your life yearning for the chance to do it again. I'm not sure what a "month" is, but obviously it is worse than having to simply find a new hobby.

Now, would you rather have a child that acts & lives their life just like you did when you were young, or a child that acts & lives their life just like you do now?

If a building isn't called a built even after it has been completed,
then a thought should be called a thinking even after it's been said.

Oh, by far for them to act when I was a child! Petch, when I was a child, I hardly ever heard of death or heartbreak. Yeah, I was teased a few times, but I would much rather have my children, or any children at all for that fact, be teased rather than to see almost everyone they love die or come near it. When you see that sort of thing, it does something to you that I would not wish even on my worst enemy so I certainly would not want to see any youth come across that sort of a situation. Besides, I have had many people tell me I was much more pleasant as a child than I am now, however true that may be, I do not know. But that is my two cents.

To whom it may concern, would you rather...

find out that the life you are currently living is just an extremely vivid, on going memory and you're actually really old, or that you are extremely young and you're current life is you imagining your future?

"Damn mate that's rather good t' dwell on... Oi guess Oi'd prefer t' be imaginin' everyt'in dat's happenin, since Oi deal wit' quite a lot o' shyke off an' on. It'd be great t' believe everyt'in t'at's happened was only an imagination since a normal life 's all Oi've wanted.

Well now t'at bout sums it up, t' whoever be next would ya rather... if given de chance travel back in time t' rebuild yer past, or use what ye know t' build a better future instead?"

"Travel back, without a doubt. All The stupid, stupid fighting.. it was all for nothing. If I could go back and change things, smack my former self in the face with the flat of my sword, and tell her to grow up, maybe Aidara would never have left me.

But... you probably don't want to hear about my sad life. My question is, would you rather face your enemies yourself, or find someone else to face them for you?"

Important Note: Aka is currently pregnant (with eggs, being a Dhani) at the moment and as such, her belly is slightly bulging and she moves noticeably slower than usual.

Heh, an interesting inquiry. but not so much a dilemma for me. I would hide him for the authorities no doubt, we are friends for a reason, no?

My question? Hmmmm ... Would you rather ... er... live an exciting life that is full of danger and is never safe or live a boring but sheltered and safe one? Yeah ... I ran out of inspiration. I'm not good at this stuff.

That's easy, I would wither into a pile of mud if I had to live a boring life. Give me danger and excitement any day! :)

Wooould you rather have no arms or no legs (no wings for a Akvatari)?

I have to go with legs. No arms would keep me from punching people.

Would you rather forget who you were and continue life as it is, or lose everything you have, and start from scratch, but have your memories?

"Interestin' question. Deep down Oi know Oi'd rather loose me memory, as me friends an' family would 'elp me make better ones later on. T' lose de only few t'ings left dat matter t' me, dat would be a reality Oi couldn't live wit'.

Say dat ye do suffer a great loss or ordeal, an' later on ye found an opportunity t' make a fresh start elsewhere... would ya take it an' leave behind de few good t'ings ye 'ave left? Or remain in de same place only t' live wit' de same reminder an' same guilt e'ryday?"

I have been pondering this question a while myself. I had to do a lot of digging into my own thoughts, for I have been unsure of this myself for the longest time, and I believe I still am unsure if an opportunity raised for me , but I think I have come up with an answer in some degree.

My personal philosophy, when it comes down to it, is that anything, no matter how lost or destroyed it may be, can be rebuilt or repaired. The same goes for someone's life. No matter what you have gone through, and no matter how low you are or end up getting, you are always able to return to to your original state before the circumstance occurred, and from there get better. Though, whether it is easier to simply start over or to repair what has been lost depends on the circumstances and how much exactly had been lost.

From my personal experiences, I have met a lot of loss in my life, though I feel like I have never been given the opportunity to leave and find a fresh start. The path to a fresh start has always been too wild and untamed for me, a man who grew up as a young artist, so traveling or creating a new start has never been an option. Therefore, I have had to work through with what I had in order to make things better, and thus, has given me a sense of pride in how far I have come, though it is still a working progress. Because of this journey so far, and with my current physical abilities, if I was met with another loss, I believe I would not seek a new start.

Wow, that was rather long. Apologies for the ramble! But here is my question:

Would you rather have your tale and your life written down as a story on paper so it could last as long as the pages do?

Or

Would you rather have your tale be written down in the memories of your children but have it last as long as they live?
