Herein lies the realm of dreams, where dreamers who are scattered all over the world in the physical can come together in the mysterious world of dreams. Remember, unless one is a Dreamwalker, there is no control over dreams. Ever. Anything can happen, and by threading a dream, you are subject to whomever can walk dreams and the whims of Storytellers.

Xi shook his head, looking out over the water now, not really watching either of the other too and letting his mind wander. He'd realized this was a dream when the try of pastries appeared out of nowhere. Xi shook his head and looked out over the sea, hearing coltyn ask about his brother Xi spoke out slowly. "No i haven't. Nobody's been this way pal" Xi flexed his fingers beneath his folded arms and kept his gaze out at the sea knowing full well that behind him lie a city that he hated, he despised, but he had nowhere else to go, so he was stuck there. Xi sighed and looked out over the water longingly. Then as he heard the woman to his right over with Coltyn speak he sighed and responded politely, almost kindly. "Nice to meet you then Tyler. And you as well Coltyn." Though as tyler continued to speak she mentioned mura and in the distance a white-ish city came into view from the mists that coated the ocean to his view and of-course there was still the place the third member of this group came from hidden behind the trees from XI's view. Xi looked out over the vastness of the new ly exposed city, it was strange almost as if it was made from parts of the ocean itself, or at least what Xi assumed to be the ocean. Xi sighed and wondered why he lived in a place that may as well have been the town of shyke. |

As Coltyn watched the bird slowly drift away toward the now setting sun, he made every effort to pay attention to the conversation that was happening around him. However, the two strangers continued to speak in an unknown tongue, so, for the most part, he was lost. That is, until the female said two vaguely familiar words, names, actually, of cities found not that far from his own.
"...Sunberth...," and then, "...Mura...," but that was it. The rest was a jumbled mess.
"Ravok," he stated, only after the man actually said Coltyn's name. "I'm from Ravok."
It wasn't much, but it was better than nothing. Now the question remained, were these individuals from the two cities she mentioned or where they going there? He still held firm on the opinion that they had not met each other before today. So, it stood to reason, that they were from those locations. But who was from which...and did it even matter? Actually, that brought another question to mind.
"Where are we?" the Ravokian asked, hoping one of them would not only understand him, but be able to communicate a logical reply. "This place...it seems...unfamiliar. Like something out of a dream."
Wait a minute? Was...was he dreaming? Was any of this real?
Walking toward the water, Coltyn slipped his bare foot below the surface. It felt real enough. It felt as water should.
Okay. One point for reality.
Stripping off his shirt, as well as his pants, he dove in...and swam! He skillfully dashed about both above and below the surface! He soared through the crystal clear liquid with the greatest of ease! He was swimming! He was actually swimming and not drowning, which is what should've been happening at this point, since he couldn't swim.
Okay. One point for dreamland.
In a flash, he was in the air, soaring above the water! He was...flying? Yes! He was actually flying! He was in the air, that much closer to the silver bird and the setting sun!
Damn! Dreamland it is!
"Wooooohoooo!" he called out as he dipped down and soared just above the heads of his imaginary friends. "Come on! What are you waiting for? Dive on up! The air's perfect!" |
