Kietis Basic Information Race: Human, Inarta Birthday & Age : 13th Day of Winter, 502 AV (8 years old) Gender: Female Physical Description Kietis does not stand out height or weight-wise amongst her peers. Her red-brown hair is usually tangled and hanging at her shoulders, as she barely bothers to take care of it. Her face is round and petite, with an infant-like nose and wide, olive green eyes. She is never seen without a simple pair of black bryda, and outdoors she always wears the standard overcoats, boots, and mittens provided by the commoners that supervise all of the Youth. Because of a jab by an older boy (who really hadn't the faintest idea what 'flat chested' meant), she also wears a makeshift Vinati, a long strip of cloth wrapped around her chest and tied at the side or back. Character Concept When not carrying out bendi tasks, Kietis can usually be found in the eating hall of the common housing, telling false tales about her past to the other children. She learned quickly that many children of the Artisans and Eagle Riders would scorn and bully anyone of lower birth than themselves. Although she still has not completely grasped the concept of social classes, Kietis developed a talent for weaving fantastical stories regarding her birth. These stories will change every time, and what few older children know about her usually don't believe her tall tales. Although she might not admit it, Kietis has almost come to believe her stories herself. She enjoys and even looks forward to assignments regarding the glassworks, although her eagerness sometimes causes herself minor injuries (such as running into walls, stepping on a hot coal that had fallen from the furnace, etc.), but finds any task not requiring a certain amount of energy to be boring. Her knack for bending the truth is evident not only in storytelling, but in everyday use, and she has been known to con smaller children out of part of their meals or sneak into the kitchens for an extra meal. If Kietis feels any remorse regarding her thievery, she certainly doesn't show it. Character History Kietis knows little of her past, other than the idea that she is of low birth. For as long as she can remember, she has been raised by the Commoners that are assigned to watching over the Deks' children, although she has kept a tiny glass pendant, left with her when she was given up, on hand at all times for fear of it being stolen. It is unknown if the pendant was stolen or made by her mother, but the former is more likely. Neither of her parents are known.
