I enjoyed reading your scrap book. It's raw and honest. And it doesn't come across like a pity party-- even the stuff about your dad and his ill-health and bad luck with his knees and heart and jobs and stuff... that comes across as a survivor thinking on her life.

Anywhoozles! November has been busy as all get out for me! I'm actually typing this during a pause in my reply (don't be so impatient, Wren, my masterpieces need time! ) and that reply is being hastily typed before I head out of town for a weekend at the Renaissance Festival! I'm incredibly excited, as always!

Homework has been such a bother lately, as the end of the grading period approaches (see: Biology Teacher Rant), so I'm sorry about my lackluster and ill-timed replies! But, I managed to get myself a new (to me!) car.

Ugh. I just wrote out a long bit about how much I love each and every one of you (even deciding to drop a few names and go into detail about how awesome you are) before deciding it sounded funny. The jist of it is I appreciate everyone that sits down and reads my little ramblings. You all keep me sane.

Oh boy. Life has moved quicker than I expected and now it's time for me to go! I promise I'll get some typing done at some point!

The person you are and how you live your life means everything.

I'm tired of bigoted Christians who look down upon everyone who thinks differently than they do, who hide behind their scriptures of salvation.

I'm tired of people who pick and choose versus and lessons from their holy books to pound down the throats of others when it suits them.

I'm tired of Atheists who think they are supreme because they have transcended the mortal need to find assurance in a higher power controlling their life.

I'm tired of all of this bickering.

Let someone live the life they want under the religion they want; how would you feel if they tried to push their theology onto you?

Sorry. Another war broke out on Facebook and I actually had to close that tab for the first time in weeks. xD

I had to write a sonnet in iambic pentameter for English class... Any critiques? I've never written like this before.

Perhaps I should have been somewhat harder,
Maybe then I would not be in last place,
I thought one day I would be of your grace,
Instead I live my life as a martyr,
Your love is that which I would not barter,
And yet you stare upon a ghostly face,
Wishing the time gone by were still apace.
Tis more than miles which keeps our souls apart,
Time's come for me to rend my heart in two,
A rift must be torn in my soul to see,
What life would be without my fickle destiny,
Upon the grass so green and sea so blue,
I will journey back to my fated start.

I'm an atheist but I don't go around rubbing it in peoples faces, I know some people who are very religious and we have no problem with each other. It does annoy me to no end when someone pushes their beliefs on someone and growing up as a gay man most of the pressure came from people telling me I was going to hell because I didn't like the ladies. I though that this kind of stuff was exclusive to religious bigots but i've occasionally met a few gay guys that are extreme atheists. They hate everything religion and are total dicks because they think all religious people are ruining the world. Its not as bad as queer people who are Racist or sexist (which makes no sense)but it still grinds my gears.
I'm pretty sure this kind of stuff happens because humans are pack animals, we seem to disperse ourselves into different groups and hate people who are in other groups. I hope we eventually grow out of this mentality, but I doubt it.

I know nothing of writing sonnets (I'm not even very good at writing) but it sounds really good. ...it sounds like its about a long distance relationship or you've home sick.
