Cyrus Blackfire Appearance Race: Human Gender: Male Age: 23 Birthday: 12, Winter, 490 AV. Birthplace: Ravok Appearance: Cyrus is a tall and well muscled man, standing at 6'3" and weighing 145 lbs. His skin is fair in tone and he either wears no hair at all or keeps his black hair short and cropped. He will allow his facial hair to grow into a dark stubble but never a full grown beard. He will generally keep his expressions friendly and jovial, only those who look into his dark eyes might suspect the cruel cunning behind them. When he speaks his voice is deep and authoritative, the art of commanding others a natural talent. Character Concept Cyrus is always ready with a kind word and companionable grin, a likeable guy to most people and a natural leader who seems to care for others. At least that is what he seems like on the outside. On the inside Cyrus Blackfire is a cruel and cunning manipulator who won't hesitate to lie, cheat or kill to achieve his goals. He will use a person for as long as it suits him then cast them aside when they stand in the way of his ambitions. Everything he does however has a purpose, to further his overall goals on Mizahar. For all that he is he is also a man with a vision, one that many might consider mad. He wishes to unite all of the continent under one banner, his banner, and crush all those that would oppose this new empire he would create. Within him burns an obsessive desire to bring humanity and other races who would follow to order. Cyrus is adept at moving through various political structures and has a way of drawing people to him, often speaking with dissatisfaction towards the fractured order present on the continent. He will use any tool, magic, politics, or weapons to see this vision achieved. It should also be noted that Cyrus does have his ethics and he will not stray from them even at the risk of sabotaging a long running plan. He can change plans on the fly and is quite adept at keeping his enemies guessing what he will do next. He is quite flexible towards most situations and is able to adapt quickly, which is the mark of a master strategist. When push comes to shove he is always prepared for combat, ready to fight using deception, brute force, and magic in deadly combinations. Character History Pre-Creation Cyrus grew up the son of a wealthy slave trader in Ravok who was married to a very powerful wizard. His education and upbringing was handled solely by his mother, who taught him all the skills he possesses today. Of these skills magic was chief among them, specifically Hypnotism and Reimancy. He also learned the basics of wielding a greatsword as well as politics and leadership. The young Cyrus applied himself vigorously to learning the various lessons his mother taught to him, possessing a prodigious grasp of magic and easily learning the social skills expected of him. He would often use other children to get what he wanted, and his mother would assign to him exercises with goals such as getting a girl he found attractive to kiss him in a set amount of time. All the while his ambition and disdain for the established societies he learned of grew, seeming ineffectual and harmful to rebuilding what was lost. His mother fostered his ambitions and his father was willing to provide monetary support for whatever his son wanted. So with the lessons of his mother at heart and his father's money with him Cyrus departed Ravok, to see all that he could and increase his power. So he traveled south to Syliras, home of the famed Syliran Knights, and found himself somewhat impressed by the Knights established order. It possessed some flaws but the young Blackfire became interested in learning more about the knights, deciding that he would spend sometime training with them. His ultimate ambition remain the same, but he recognizes that all paths to power begin somewhere. Post-Creation Associations Key : This is a list of how Cyrus labels the people he knows. Positive Views Acquaintance: At this level Cyrus knows the person well enough to pick them out of a crowd, but is otherwise neutral towards them. Asset: The person serves some use to Cyrus and is regarded as generally capable by him. However, losing them would not be a major blow to his overall goals as such they are considered expendable. Ally: Cyrus possesses some form of trust regarding the individual and considers them a friend. They are willing to help him achieve his goals and support him because it benefits both parties. Lieutenant: People who reach this level of trust are part of Cyrus' inner circle and party to most of his plans and ambitions. They are willing to follow the warrior in his quest to forge an Imperium and will likely hold high positions within it when established. Trusted Lieutenant: Cyrus' trust in these people are absolute as their loyalty to him is without question. A person at this level of trust has shared many of Cyrus' hardships and wishes to see his ambitions come forth upon Mizahar. Naturally people like this are very rare, usually being a very loyal friend of the warrior, or a lover. Negative Views Threat: This person, while not an outright enemy, threatens Cyrus' rise to power. He will attempt to remove them as an obstacle in his path through violence or otherwise. Enemy: This person directly threatens and opposes Cyrus' vision and is high on Cyrus' hit list. He will not hesitate to take drastic steps to remove this person. Nemesis: Cyrus will do every single thing in his power to eliminate this individual. A nemesis has constantly proved a genuine threat to Cyrus' vision and has actively foiled the warrior a few times. Cyrus will grant such a person no quarter.   Positive Fabuki Kouri- Lieutenant: Cyrus trusts Kouri to great degree, she looks up to him as a father figure and master and in turn he is willing to confide in her many of his plans.
