Home of the Konti people, this ivory city is built of native konti stone half in and half out of the sea. Its borders touch the Silverwood, and stretch upwards towards Silver Lake, home of the infamous konti vision water. [Lore]

51st of Winter , 498 A.V.

It was a fairly cold day on the white isle. The Timandre sister was preparing herself for another day of instructing the youth of Mura. Teaching them the basics of medicine. The Konti pulled her white hooded cloak over the black bodysuit she wore. Iris walked bare foot in the snow. Passing some plants and homes by. She was used to it. Walking through the snow was second nature for the pale Konti woman.

As the Timandre moved through the snow she noticed a very young Konti girl no older than twenty years old sitting by herself in the snow. Iris for some odd reason was known as one of the least caring Timandre. That might have been due to her harsh teaching methods.

The young Konti girl Iris had her eye on didn't look like she was in the best of moods. The older Konti, Iris, thought it was her duty to find out what was going on and take care of this girl. The Timandre walked up to the girl and pulled off her white cloak. The cloak was then lowered down and placed on L'orlei's shoulders. Iris wrapped it around her so she'd have something more to keep herself warm.

Once Iris removed her arms from around the young Konti. Iris finally spoke to the girl in a soft tone. "What are you doing out here, girl?" The older Konti shifted her body so she was facing L'orlei. Iris' face showed quite a bit of concern for the young girl. Iris sat indian style in front of L'orlei.

"Tell me your name. Now, young sister." Iris asked, this time more firmly than the previous question. The Konti maintained respect between adult and child. Iris wasn't trying to be harsh, but she had a child of her own. She demanded a certain amount of that respect.

[Flashback] Creating Dreams for Children (L'orlei)

Postby L'orlei on April 4th, 2013, 9:17 pm

L'orlei cringed slightly at the other konti's touch. Normally such would be a sign of abuse, as victims of those circumstances often shied away from physical contact, but they were in Mura, and abuse was something that was almost unheard of. In truth, it was the brief instant when the older konti's hand brushed L'orlei's skin, and a flash of names filtered into her mind, that caused her to cringe. All of her life she avoided physical contact, because it always came with a rush of names that were usually meaningless to her. L'orlei did not respond to the initial question either, preferring her solitude, but when Iris asked again in a more demanding tone the young konti finally looked up and gave her attention.

"Thank you.. for the cloak. My name is L'orlei. And you are Iris Timandre."

L'orlei couldn't help but know the other kontis name. It was her gift, she knew the names of every person she met. It was another reason that she tended to avoid social contact. Being around too many people that she did not know could become overwhelming. Crowds were terrifying to the young konti. In truth, they were not that bad, as the flow of names only lasted a few ticks, but they were intense, and sudden, and she had no control over the flow of information. She just knew.

L'orlei could sense something else in the other konti as well. They were both marked by Rak'keli, and as with all of those who shared the same gnosis, L'orlei could feel the shared connection in the older konti. Then of course there was the fact that she was dressed like a member of the Opal Order. That was where L'orlei was heading.. eventually. But Iris had asked her another question, and L'orlei still needed to respond.

"I just had to get away for a while. My mom.. I love her, but her visions, they give her nightmares, and sometimes she screams in her sleep, and she doesn't like me to wake her. So I come out here to get some peace."
