She is flexible, nimble, and spry: features that have been accumulated over many years. Her hair is long, voluminous, and rubescent in hue. Her eyes are stunning pools of forest green, and her complexion is a fair alabaster. Rhosyn prides herself in dressing like an Inarta, despite being far from her homeland. Regardless of the weather, she generally sports bold colors that make her stand out in a crowd. She has an affinity for glass beads and feathers in her attire, sometimes even braiding them into her hair. Character Concept Rhosyn is a highly talented young woman. She is versatile, clever, and energetic. Physically, she is characterized by a flexible, nimbleness that has been honed over the course of her life. She has a love of adventure, travel, and excitement. Also, she has an intense, driving curiosity: she absolutely has to know and understand the "whys and hows" about nearly everything under the sun. Furthermore, Rhosyn has a passion for apples. On the other hand, Rhosyn is far from being without flaws. First and foremost, she has a willingness to take risks and an impulsive nature. Her temper is as hot as the volcanic mountains populating Kalea. She is also impatient, restless, easily irritable, and occasionally reckless. In her youth, she was also accident prone, a fact that often drove her teacher absolutely mad with frustration. Though she's grown out of it for the most part, she'll still trip over her own feet every now and again. Rhosyn also has a susceptibility to excesses and abuses certain vices in life, such as drinking and gambling, and easily becomes addicted to things that are "bad" for her. Riding Upon the Wings of Eagles... Like the vast majority of the Inartan race, Rhosyn was born to a family that she would never meet. She would grow up with no memories of her mother, no memories of her father, nor the pleasure of meeting her older, fraternal twin whom was born just minutes before her. From the instant she entered the world, she was was placed into the care of one of Wind Reach's nurseries and raised up by a number of Chiet. Then, once she was able to walk and talk, she was categorized as Yasi and relocated to one of the youth centers dotting the crowded city. As a Yasi, life went as typical for one of Rhosyn's age. Day in and day out, she was given daily instruction on independent living and partook in numerous classes taught by her Chiet overseers. Furthermore, she was also given a plethora of duties called "Bendi", in which, every ten days, she would continually do an odd job as to "expose" her to the various occupations available to her. This education went on until Rhosyn's fifteenth birthday, when she, being a young, capable woman, was selected by a notable Avora to become his apprentice. The Avora, an aging man by the name Saeth, had spent his days perfecting the craft of making bows and arrows. From thenceforth, Rhosyn worked from early morning to evening, learning all that Saeth had to teach her. The aging Inarta was an excellent teacher. He was patient and kind, where Rhosyn was impulsive and the exact opposite at times. After three years under his tutelage, the young Inarta had a solid grasp on the creation of bows and arrows, and as such was given much more responsibility within Saeth's establishment. Before then, he would simply evaluate her work and then sell the bows which met his standards. Yet, after her eighteenth birthday, Rhosyn would now accompany Saeth whilst he bartered with Endal and merchants alike. She learned multitudes and gained much experience from this time, yet noticed a significant change in her teacher. His age was catching up with him and his health was taking a turn. Though it did not affect him at first, she noticed a weakness characterizing the formerly strong man. He would sit rather than stand, he would wheeze and cough while speaking, and he would often leave the shop to Rhosyn to keep watch over whilst he rested. Rhosyn did an excellent job stepping up the place while her teacher's health dwindled...and by the time she had reached twenty years of age, the shop was hers. For Saeth had passed away. Saeth, being the closest thing to a father to her and she being the closest thing to a daughter to him, ended up leaving the store and all his worldly possessions to Rhosyn. Yet, the young woman had no intention of simply staying within Wind Reach and running the shop. For Rhosyn had ambition. So, when the next caravan of merchants made their way into Wind Reach to trade and sell their wares, the young woman packed up her belongings and tagged along once they left. She traveled with them to Alvadas, where she paid for passage to Zeltiva upon a merchant vessel. Her goal was to bring the finest Inartan Bows and Arrows to the famous port city, and thereby spread her name across the known world! It was specially crafted for her at the hands of her Mentor, Saeth Fletcher, just months before his passing. He was the closest thing to a father figure that the young Inarta ever had, and she especially treasures the bow with all her heart. As such, she is seldom seen without it in public and always keeps it within arms length when sleeping. He was her instructor, not just in the art of crafting bows, but life in general. Saeth was her teacher, her lectorer, her adviser, the one who scolded her, and everything in between. He was her Mentor in every sense of the word. His passing, due to a combination of illness and his age, came as a hard blow for Rhosyn. To this day, she carries the bow that he had specifically crafted just for her, named "Thorn", and is seldom seen without it. It truly is her special treasure.   Companions Portrait Name Information Deryn Deryn is a relatively small, female peregrine falcon. She amounts to approximately ten inches in height, one and a half pounds in weight, and boasts a wingspan of twenty-nine inches. Rhosyn has known and cared for Deryn since moments after her hatching; as Deryn is the offspring of Saeth Fletcher's own peregrine. Rhosyn found Deryn the most adorable of the chicks and immediately favorited her. When Deryn was old enough to begin training, Rhosyn, under the watchful eye of her teacher, eagerly claimed her as her own. To date, Deryn is about three years of age.
