She scoffed, crossing her arms over her chest she caught up with him. ''Confidential my ass, the weapons are coming in today. Yeah I knew that, my lead is actually one of the sailors on that ship. So regardless, I am tagging along. You don't have to like it, but I am not budging. She snickered, and then went to stand in front of him. She cocked her head, then smiled. ''This will be fun, I get to play with humans. Maybe I can get a few to talk, I have ways. Now they may not be ethical, but they are mine own.'' With that said she turned away from him and began making her way back to to the docks, she was excited.

Yet she wondered what the other was thinking, did he think her a liar. Her a cheat that would do anything to get what she wanted? In truth she was, she usually sliced through bodies first rather then asking questions. But she could do it, even if it took a little more restraint on her part. Many believed her to be mentally unstable, and she wouldn't be surprised if she was.

Another Exotic One........What is she?

Postby Khal'iah on April 9th, 2013, 7:36 am

Out of all the things in the world that the foreign woman could have said in response, this was the absolute worst. This made Khal'iah's life a lot more difficult than it needed to be. On one hand, the woman was likeable, though she had an affinity for trouble. On the other hand, Khal'iah had given his word to his employer that the shipment would be absolutely confidential and that any "leaks" would be taken care of. The Akalak did not especially like playing this role, but he was assured that there would be minimal problems...he made a mental note to bludgeon whomever gave him this false assurance.

Saying nothing, the warrior followed the woman outside of the tavern, but halted as soon as they were a few paces away. His hands found the hilts of his Lakan and his longsword, pulling both weapons free and pointing their blades in the direction of the foreigner. Khal'iah honestly didn't want to have to go about doing his job this way, but he staked his honor on it...
"Tlazotinya, I'm going to make this excetionally simple. You're going to take me to the sailor who you bought this information from. You're also going to point out anyone else whom you've purchased information about this shipment from. Then, I'm going to forget that you were involved in any of this and let you go free about your day...however, if you don't cooperate...well, just do as I say and today will go a lot smoother for the both of us."

He silently prayed to the entire pantheon that she would just cooperate. It went against everything he stood for to fight against a woman, but his word was bond.

Her eyes widened a fraction, she then lifted all six of her hands palm up as she backed away a few feet. ''Now you just hold on one second! I didn't buy anything, I am only after the sailor on the ship nothing more. He had a hand in my parent's death. I want him, I plan on making him talk. I have no qualms of getting mixed up in things that don't concern me.'' She then stepped forward, so the tip of his blade was settled against the flesh of her chest. She gripped the blade and held it still, she then spoke low.

''I wouldn't fall so low as to have the need to buy information, my contacts gave it willingly. They were loyal to my father, and owed a debt. Their debts are paid, I have no intention of giving out their names. I am not your enemy, I want to be your friend, if it is not too late for that. And if you wouldn't mind having an Eypharian as a friend.'' She leaned in closer, the blade just piercing her skin.''And don't you dare threaten me, I thought you were a man who revered women. Now you are eating your own words with this act. Am I not right?'' She shook her head, then pulled away, and went to his side. ''I will show you the sailor, but you will not touch him, for the bastard is mine, and mine alone...........'' Her voice trailed off, she wondered if her reaction had been the right one.

It had been so hard to find a decent person in this city, now that she had found one it all came crashing down by a foolish remark. She just hoped she could salvage what small bond, if any they had created.

Khal'iah had to hand it to the foreign woman: she had gall. Instead of cracking or meeting his own blades with her own, she set about creating a dramatic display that sent a chill down the Akalak's spine. After she had retracted her flesh from his blade, the warrior gave it a swat in order to remove her blood from the tip and then returned both of his weapons to their respective sheathes. "You're right, we Akalak are raised with a reverence to women. However, we are also raised that our word is bond. Our oaths are unshakable.. Our honor means quite a bit. So, when I gave my word to my employer regarding the security of this shipment, and then you informed me about our mutual rat..well, for a moment there I was in quite a rough spot, now wasn't I?"

Khal'iah refrained from commenting on her words of friendship, as, to be honest, he was more concerned with the job at hand than the formation of bonds. He unceremoniously motioned for her to begin the journey to the docks with a wave of his hand.
"By all means, Lead on. Once this matter is taken care of, I absolutely must return to the remainder of my duties. Alone." The Akalak lingered upon the final word of his sentence, pronouncing it with such a force that he was certain the point would stick. With that said, Khal'iah began to head towards the docks, his swordarm resting upon the hilt of his Lakan as he walked along. Silence ruled him whilst he stewed...

''Someone has their panties in a bunch......''She mumbled under her breath, then as he had indicated she took the lead, she was unable to keep the smile off her face. To her this was all a game, they were just more humans to toy with. She was looking forward to spending some alone time with the sailor, she knew just how to make a man scream. As she walked she couldn't help but notice how tense the other was, this made her sigh. He was another one of those people who didn't indulge, in other words he didn't take the fullest of what life had to offer in each moment.

''By the Fates, would you lighten up? I mean, we are in a beautiful seaside city. With wonderful weather, and as I said, we get to play with humans......Or at least I do, I don't know what you like to do. But anyway, you need to indulge, you are too worked up. And if worse comes to worse, we can just kill the bastards and anyone who gets in our way.......At least I will.'' She shrugged again, then stretched. She was anticipating what was going to happen, she was excited. It had been so long since she had felt like this, anticipating the possible danger, and the possible danger that was brought on by a fight. Hell, she had missed killing.

Whilst his foreign acquaintance mused about indulgence, the Akalak held his tongue. To him, it was not worth further "working himself up" over mere words, so instead silence ruled him. He made not a sound in response to her words, nor did he make any reaction. In his mind, she could ramble on all she liked; he would simply let it float in one ear and out the other until such time as the job was done. Then, the complication of the day would be done and he could go back to his regularly scheduled duties. 'I did not sign up for this shyke.' he thought to himself. After a few moments' time, the docks once more came into view and Khal'iah quickened his pace, striding off past the foreign woman and blazing a trail towards the numerous ships docked there.

He knew the vessel in question instantly, as it matched the description that he had been briefed with earlier that same day. Anticipation gripped his stomach, as he truly did not enjoy this sort of thing...but it had to be done. His strides came to a halt just before the ramp leading up the vessel. There, he awaited the arrival of the foreign woman so that she may identify the sailor in question. Whilst he stood, a handful of Denvali faithfuls made their entrance to the docks as well: mercenaries, just as he, whom worked for the same employer. There was an unspoken camaraderie between Khal'iah and his fellow sellswords, and should he point out the sailor, they could potentially handle the problem for him...

'Well, that's always an option...' he mused, but kept the thought to himself.

Upon reaching to large sailing vessel her eyes widened a fraction, but she shook her head. Calming her resolve, she had a job to do and she would be damned if anyone got in her way. As her dark eyes scanned the deck her lips curled into a menacing smile. There was an Eypharian male in the midst, the same one who matched the description that her contacts had given her. She let an appreciative growl escape her.

''There you are, thought you could escape......'' She mused to herself. She then began making her way onto the ship, many of the deckhands moved out of her line of travel for the look on her face, and the aura around her was dark and murderous. As she reached the male, a disgusting excuse for an Eypharian she spoke. ''You messed with the wrong family........You are going to pay for what you have done.'' The voice was deadly calm, reserved yet underneath it was barely contained murderous rage. The man turned, eyes widened a fraction as he then stepped back, his hand coming up as if surrendering.''Please spare me, I was only following orders.'' The male begged, Tlazotinya scoffed. This was priceless. Instead of answering the man she struck out with her fist, it collided with his stomach. Causing him to go to his knees, she then bent down and gripped his hair. Forcing his head back, she spoke in a soft purr.''I am going to have fun playing with you......''

Then with a quick snap if her bottom set of arms she broke his left arm, both of them. The Eypharian male screamed, the sound of bone snapping resonated as did his screams. She shook her head, then brought her knee up to connect with his nose. The cartilage gave way, spouting blood over the material of her toga. She seemed unfazed, the force of her knee had driven the man into an unconscious state. She smiled, letting him go he collapsed like a rag doll. She then gripped two of his arms and began dragging him across the deck, towards Khal'iah. A satisfied smile on her lips. ''I got what I came here for.''

T'would appear as though the Akalak had minimal to worry about, as his foreign acquaintance took the situation in hand and handled it quite nicely...albeit bluntly. She strode upon the vessel, broke down the rat in question, and then proceeded to drag him off like a predator who had just caught fresh prey. The warrior simply folded his arms across his chest, exhaling a slight sigh of relief; for it would seem that he did not have to sully his blade over this after all. He cast a stray glance to his foreign acquaintance as she approached and ascended the ramp, coming to a halt before her.

"Nicely done. Now, go. Do as you will to this cretin, but make sure that he no longer breathes when you're finished. I have matters to attend to here and then there is much that I must do afterwards. This is where we part ways."

With that said, he stepped past the woman and ascended the remainder of the vessel's ramp, stopping once his feet touched down upon the deck. He cast a glance over his shoulder and offered the woman a smile and a slight wave.
"It was a pleasure meeting you Tlazotinya. Stay out of trouble." he said, keeping his farewell short and to the point. Immediately following, he began to bark orders to the shiphands on deck, motioning for them to stop gawking at the scene that had unfolded and to proceed with moving the shipment of arms to the top of the deck. Khal'iah Vojak then disappeared below the deck of the ship, descending the flight of stairs so that he may watch the processions up close and personal.

She smirked, this man, ever since she had met him had looked after her. Even if he was stubborn, but then so was she. She hoisted the dead weight a little more up on her body, tightening her grip.''So bloody demanding, you bastard......'' She spoke under her breath, then with a smile she raised her voice so he could hear. ''Aye, meet me in the tavern when you are done here. We have things to discuss....''

The woman then turned on her heel, descending from the ship and walking away from the docks with her prize in tow. This foreign woman was going to make living in Zeltiva very interesting for a certain man, and that was how she liked it. She just hoped he wouldn't mind becoming her friend. She needed friends more then ever.

Even though the foreign woman did her absolute best to conceal the insult within a well-placed mutter, the Akalak managed to overhear the entirety of what she said. After all, he was literally standing only about a foot away from her. In response, the warrior's eyes rolled and a bemused smirk came to populate his countenance in response. "For your information...I am fully aware of whom my father is thank you very much....Now then, if I have a few extra minutes on my hands, I may stop by, or I may not. Only time will tell."

The possibility of his stopping by the tavern, in all honesty, was minimal. There was much on Khal'iah's plate to attend to, and even though the foreign woman was, for the most part, an alright individual...there were just some quirks about her that would only serve to complicate his relatively simple life. In any event, he was certain that this would be far from the last time he crossed paths with her; whether or not he wanted to.

"Until then, fare thee well."
