OOCSorry for the wait! I am back now
To feel another being invade your soul was... uncomfortable, to say the least. Yet even so Ethan worked to not resist, to not throw off the cold hands that gripped his inner being, that forced his hands and body to move on their own.
Then he could hear her voice, frantic and uncertain. The girl had found herself in a world that was alien to her, so profoundly different that it was no wonder she found it difficult to orient herself. Smiling in his heart, for his lips no longer responded, Ethan spoke softly into the darkness of his world.
Be still... In this world you only move when you must, and only as little as possible. Still my body, let your worries fall aside. It is strange to see with sightless eyes I am sure, so close them now and listen to the world instead. Pressing his consciousness to the surface just slightly, just enough to have its influence felt, Ethan would aid Fubuki in re positioning his body in its sitting position, eyes closed, Now do not focus on things you wish to see, or to experience. Instead let the world move around you. Do not search for meaning, wait for it to come to you.
It would take some time, for the mind has to adjust, but with gentle prodding from Ethan the world would suddenly begin to open itself up. There was the feeling of a faint breeze that passed by Ethan's cheek, bringing with it the scent of spring beginning. Sounds of water in the distance, the rocking of waves and the trickle of a stream, so similar in substance yet they could create such differing sounds. Footsteps, pounding and loud, to Ethan's ears, cut through the night, each telling a story of a person with a mind and heart, destined for some adventure this night. Another breeze brought the creaking of trees as the bent and swayed in a beautiful dance with nature, and even the falling blossoms made a swishing sound as the brushed against the cold stones of Syliras. Crickets chirped, a chorus of varying pitches and sounds only noticeable if one listens with all their might. Yet still the night was filled with more sensations, more sounds than could be identified. It was alive, thrumming with energy and music that many fail to notice. This was the world in which Ethan lived. A world that played the cords of life with such fervor one cannot help but wish to join in.
Listen... can you hear it? This, all of this, is the Music of the Night. It is beautiful, yet so few truly ever realize it. |
