NAME | RELATION | DESCRIPTION |
Sigrid M. Arundel Dominic | Mother | Deceased. Born to a middle class family in Syliras. Lived her life as a serving girl at a tavern, where she later met her husband, Philipp. Died while giving birth to second child, Sigmund. |
Philipp Dominic | Father | Location Unknown. Born to a Svefran mother and a human father, the latter of which he has never met. Became a seafarer himself as he journeyed with his mother and her side of the family in the Suvan sea, where he learned to fish and sword fight. Settled in Syliras after meeting Sigrid, but grew distant from what was left of the family they raised when she died, until he eventually left without saying goodbye. |
Anya Dominic | Grandmother | Location Unknown. Mother of Philipp. Had a fling with a human male in Sunberth in between her seafaring, and the man got her pregnant with Philipp. Raised Philipp alone when his father refused to leave his home to travel with them. A lively, exuberant woman with an unending thirst for adventure. Sigrun has never met her. |
Sigmund M. Dominic | Younger Brother | Deceased. Sigrun’s younger brother who had only lived until eleven when his constant sickliness had finally gotten the better of him. Intelligent, insightful, and beautiful, he was all of the things Sigrun thought she was not. Aspired to be a doctor. Color blind, although no one knew that he was. Sigrun blames herself for his death. |
Maria Arundel | Grandmother | Mother of Sigrid. Selfish, high strung, and adamant to live a high life, she manipulated and all her children in order to ensure their family would become rich. Disowned Sigrid when she had eloped with Philipp. Ignores the Dominics due to their lower class status and her disapproval of Philipp. Sigrun does not regularly see her in the present. |
Christopher Arundel | Grandfather | Deceased. Father of Sigrid. Kind, sweet, and soft-spoken old man, albeit spineless. Secretly assisted the Dominics for a while before his wife discovered it. Loved his wife dearly and obeyed her in spite of her horridness. Died of old age before Sigrun could even meet him formally. |
James Arundel | Uncle | Brother to Sigrid. A hardworking and successful man in the tailoring business. Friendly, and with a great sense of humour, he chooses not to ignore the Dominics, but does nothing to help their plight. He and Sigrun have no contact. Sigrun does not regularly see him in the present. |
Dena R. Arundel | Aunt | Ambitious and with a taste for the finer things in life. Married to James Arundel. Helps her husband in their tailoring business. Ignores the Dominics for their lack of wealth and continuously urges her husband to do the same. Sigrun does not regularly see her in the present. |
Desmond Arundel | Cousin | Outspoken and rowdy when he was younger, but grew up to become quiet and reserved. A Syliran Knight. Sigrun only remembers him from childhood, and no longer sees him in the present. |
Mais Arundel | Cousin | Snobby and foul-mouthed. Is not afraid to speak her mind, though her thoughts tend to always be unpleasant. Sigrun only remembers her from childhood, and no longer sees her in the present. |
Dahlia Arundel | Cousin | The most beautiful Arundel from the inside and out. Sweet, demure, innocent, but extremely curious, Dahlia had been the only one to befriend and bond with Sigrun and her brother during their childhood. She had last seen of her at their grandfather’s funeral, but no longer sees her in the present. |
NAME | RELATION | DESCRIPTION |
Atta Sabot | Previous Employer | Admired and loved. Owner of The Flower Stand in Syliras. Hired and befriended Sigrun for most of Spring 513, and became a mother figure to her. Although much loved, Sigrun left the job out of jealousy after Atta took in more employees. |
Ronan Dugal | Old Acquaintance | Admired. Sigrun met him when she was only sixteen and still struggling to care for her younger brother, Sigmund. Helped Sigrun and her brother on one winter night by giving them food and alleviating Sigmund’s fever. Sigrun still wishes she could see him again. |
Khal’liah | Old Acquaintance | Admired. A purple-skinned Akalak whom Sigrun met when she was battling with her alcoholism. Helped her sober up and find safety during one winter night at a tavern, and convinced her to change her life for the better. His whereabouts are unknown, and Sigrun wishes she could see him again so she could thank him properly. |
Ethan Terran | Old Acquaintance | Loved. Sigrun met the blind flutist when she had heard him playing his instrument in the room below hers at the Traveler’s Row. Sweet, kind, and insightful, he struck a flame in Sigrun’s heart, but he’d moved out of the place before she could do something about it. |
Razkar | Mentor/Old Acquaintance | Deeply admired. Sigrun met the Myrian when he had been battling Kisetukai Yamehaka at the Fighter’s Pits of Syliras. Fierce and skilful, he had briefly trained Sigrun in defense and battle. Sigrun admires him for his wise words and effective teaching methods, and wishes she could be under his tutelage once more. |
Aidan Sutter | Old Acquaintance | Loved. Sigrun met the blue-eyed, dark haired man at the Rearing Stallion, where she had intended to have breakfast, but also had a little something else. Sigrun immediately fell for the young man’s warmth and friendliness, but has not seen him since. |
Francis Simmons | Childhood Friend | Deeply disliked. Francis was Sigrun’s best friend throughout the years that they had grown up, and had always aspired to become a Syliran Knight. The two stayed connected even when Francis became a squire. A heated altercation between them regarding Francis’ romantic feelings towards Sigrun, however, sent the former out the door, never to be heard from again. |
Kisetukai Yamehaka | Old Acquaintance | Disliked. Kisetukai was a dark-skinned young squire whom Sigrun met when she was delivering flowers. He was a bit of a charmer, and Sigrun fell for his wiles for a while until she got to know him better. Stuck up, self-absorbed, and shallow, she grew to hate him over time. Sigrun no longer sees him around. |
Fubuki Kouri | Old Acquaintance | Hated. Fubuki was a ghost child who, under the assumption that Sigrun was her mother, chased the young blonde around Syliras when they had first met. Even after multiple encounters and corrections, the little ghost still often mistook Sigrun to be her mother. When the young ghost began to work under Atta Sabot alongside Sigrun, the latter became jealous of the divided attention. Because of this, Sigrun found Fubuki’s company to be unpleasant, and has since then began to dislike ghosts in general. Sigrun no longer sees her around. |
Ninus Aurellius | Acquaintance | Liked. Sigrun met the young, seemingly sick man at the outskirts of Syliras while she was trying to find a place to bury her dog, Snowe. The male was kind, had a flowery way of speaking, and had much to tell. He invited Sigrun to journey with him to Sunberth, but their little adventure was cut short when he disappeared in the middle of their trip before they could even get far. Sigrun knows nothing of his whereabouts, and wishes he could've at least said goodbye. |
