Jayneth

Race: Mixed-Blood (half Human, half Chaktawe)
Age: 23 (Birthday: 11th day of Spring, 489 AV)
Gender: Male
Physical Description
Height: 5’9”
Weight: 175
Hair: Black
Eyes: Very Dark Brown
Jayneth looks like an average man, simply put. His shoulders are set confidently, but are not too broad. His face seems drawn slightly more vertically than normal but it is not enough to make him look disfigured. His weight is evenly distributed throughout his muscular, but not overly strong body. The best description of his physical appearance would be “forgettable” and that is not a bad trait as far as he is concerned. His Chaktawe half allows his skin to take on a deeply tanned look complemented by his loose black hair and near-black eyes.
Character Concept
As a worshipper of Rhysol, Jayneth has a mixed up, if not chaotic, core that ultimately drives his personality. He embraces the God of Evil as the steadfast force that drives all life. His social skills allow him to thrive in smaller groups but when larger masses collect, he typically finds some sort of means of escape. He does not mind striking up a conversation on his own or interacting with others, but he never puts too much stock into the words of those he meets.
Jayneth has never pursued love in a serious manner. His mother killed his father when he was 12 and because of this, he sees love as merely another method to cause destruction in the life of another person and cannot imagine it lasting longer than necessary for one to fill their own needs.
Character History
Jayneth grew up with two parents in an abusive relationship. They would argue constantly and often their arguments would escalate into physical attacks. Both were to blame and finally his mother left him and his father when he was 6. Years later, after Jayneth began to develop into a strong and useful youth, his mother returned briefly. It seemed as if she was a changed person—her temper had settled and she seemed more wise and calm than the adolescent Jayneth could remember. His father, also a little more mellow though hardly an upstanding citizen, hesitantly welcomed her to see their child and spend a limited amount of time with them. A year after she returned, when Jayneth was 12, she slaughtered the man with a dagger by brutally ripping his skin and tearing his muscles before stabbing out each of his eyes and leaving the weapon lodged in his throat.
It was at that age, discovering his father on the floor beside his bed while his mother prepared a meal for the two of them over a fire pit that served as a kitchen, that Jayneth realized Rhysol was the catalyst to life itself. The God of Chaos ensured life went on in a twisted way and Jayneth embraced this reality, as it resembled the only way he had ever known to live. He did not blame his mother, but instead found fault in the fact that his father could not see through her intentions. She now had Jayneth and little else, but three hauntingly abusive years later, she disappeared from his life once more. Her name was Shelaya, was fully Chaktawe, and he has never heard of her since.
The years spent alone, since he was 15, Jayneth has spent more time developing as a worshipper of Rhysol and honing his few weapon skills. He has wandered around the northern areas of Sylira picking fights and befriending travelers who give him food and conversation. When they reach their destination, Jayneth will sometimes steal from them, wound them, kill their horses or other animals, or simply smile and walk away depending on his mood at that moment.
Growing older and bolder, yet always careful, he befriended a man with a young daughter traveling near Nyka. After spending two weeks letting them believe he was a gentle hearted soul and was falling in love with the young girl, the man asked if he would marry her when she had reached womanhood. Jayneth convinced the man that he needed to spend time alone with her and when he agreed, the follower of Rhysol raped the girl and left her for her naïve father to find nude and crying behind a tree.
After years of escalating crimes, Jayneth felt he needed more direction in his life or a goal to ultimately pursue. Rhysol would guide him when he prayed, of course, but the 20 year old wanted more than to simply wreck havoc among travelers forever. With nothing else to guide him, Jayneth started wandering toward Syliras where, even though his God was not welcome, he hoped to discover the purpose Rhysol had for him.
