Lacey got up out of bed before the sun could rise up. She always woke early and awoke happy to. Ahh!! Hunting today!! Yes! I wonder who my partner is? I hope she is good... Or he. this would be Lacey's first hunt she has bone practicing hunting and fighting for this. She stretch her body to get rid of the sleepy muscles. She put on her clothes and tided her hair back into a cute bun. But she tried not to be to cute so she won't look like a useless female to others. She walk out of her tent and began to brush Thunders hair and make sure his hooves were ok. The sun began to rise others came out of there tents and tended to their horses as well. Lacey couldn't help but stare at the rising of the sun it was beautiful. This is going to be a good day!!!
Wait... Is my hunting partner going to meet me or is it the other way around... she stood there confused not sure what to do.

Fox had spent the first few minutes after waking up sharpening his sword at his father's grindstone. He picked the sword up and looked along the blade, running his thumb along it too, looking, and feeling, for any nicks or bends in the blade. It seemed to him to be as perfect as the day his father had it forged, well as perfect as it could be considering it was about 5 years old. A well maintained weapon will see you through everything short of a djed storm Khanti, Fox's father, had said a few years back. And he was right, this sword had seen countless hunting trips, and that one time with the slavers, but now Fox was trying to stop that memory from surfacing as much. He needed to focus if he wanted to do, well, anything to help Naomi.

"Son, wheren't you meant to be meeting your new hunting partner this morning?" Khanti asked, looking up from his workbench where he was busy working. "I thought my new partner was meeting me....okay I'll head to the pavilion she was meant to be at....or he depending who it is" Fox said, slipping the blade back into it's scabbard and tying it back to his belt. He walked up to his strider, Moondancer, and swung up onto her back. "Come on girl, time for a ride through the pavilions" he said softly, turning his mount towards where his new partner's pavilion should be.

When Lacey got to the Pavilion some other newbies were there, some with the older partners, other passed out an some to her surprise appear to her as drunk. She rubbed Thunders nose gently, he snorted and nuzzled her head. Lacey giggled and pushed his big head away.
"Now we wait boy," she patted him and sat on a log. She tossed some rocks and began to feel tired. Now she felt the others who were waiting for there partners, Note to self never...EVER wake up really early in the morning... her eyes began to shut, but then a few minutes late snap them open. She hit her face a few times. She felt like she's been waiting for a century or two

Fox approached the area where the hunters had gathered. "Drunkards are what is mostly here...I was assured my new partner isn't such a person, so I guess..." he started to say, almost thinking outloud. "It must be you" he said once he approached the only girl there, well the only one who appeared sober enough to say anything intelligent and that made sense. "Would you be waiting for a new hunting partner?" he asked. Moondancer snorted and glanced around at the people around them, some slumped against poles and piles of crates, others that seemed to have slept where they dropped, all of which appeared drunk.

Lacey kicked the dirt from out under her foot. "Would you be waiting for a new hunting partner?" She heard a mans voice appear from no where, Lacey felt she was off her guard... That she was suppose to have up. She looked up seeing a man in his 20's. she smiled big and made sure she wasn't smiling freakishly big at the same time. Lacey's eye almost red with being tired and staying awake for so long.
"Yes.. Sir," she examined him to make sure he wasn't drunk. "And what of you? Umm.. Mr.." She normally would ask a name but something in her was searching for a name. She puzzled herself, I don't know him! Do I? No I never seen him before.. I'm tired I almost feel drunk. I don't know him.. Lacey regained her thoughts.

"Fox, my name is Fox" he said, dismounting his strider and extending a hand to the girl in front of him. "And you are?" he asked. Something, in the very back of his mind, was telling him some small, minute detail about this woman should be familiar. There can't be anything familiar about her, I don't know her....or do I? No, I must be confusing her with someone else....someone from my past who I haven't seen in ages... he thought.

She couldn't help but to stare still trying to figure it out if she new him or not. Lacey's mind is trying to tell her conscious that she didn't know him..
"Fox, my name is Fox" Lacey strapped out of it and focused her eyes on his, hmm I feel like I've seen them before... Fox? I've heard that name before... I must have.. "And you are?" His voice once again snapped her out of thinking, I have to ask or should I wait during the hunt... "Lacey... I'm sorry if I get this wrong.." She paused, "I coul be thinking of someone else but umm... Are you Fox Starseer?" She felt her check flaming in embarrassment... What if it isn't him???..

"That is me, yes...have we met before?" he asked. He would have remembered meeting a pretty girl like Lacey before. He was trying to place her name and face and was coming up with a confusing thought. How could I have known her that long ago...that would have made me and Naomi about 12 then... he thought.

Lacey almost jumped out of her skin when he said that. She hugged him then realize it made it awkward.. Extremely awkward.. "Sorry about that! Do you remember Lacey Shadowtear.. I was about 6 when we met." She fixed her shirt and got some pretty funny stares..Great!! Go first impression Lacey! I'm so proud.. she tried to hide the hint of embarrassment she put on both of them. She just gave a funny smile at him and acted like nothing happened at all.

"Oh, yes I remember you now, you where in my father's training course" he said, smiling broadly. He hugged her tightly, almost lifting her off the ground. "You where always hanging out with me and my twin sister" he added. Small world, I never expected to see her again he thought.
