Name: Aram
Height: 6’8”
Weight: 250 lbs
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Race: Human

Appearance: Aram stands 6 feet and 8 inches tall. He is skinny but strong, despite his looks. He has Loose black hair, neither long nor short, that is usually slightly messy, in a neat way. He usually wears his black robes which are oddly form fitting for robes, and have a high collared neck giving him a regal appearance. Buttons run from the neck to the very bottom of the robe. When he’s not wearing this he usually wears boots, breeches, and a loose white shirt. He wears a silver chain around his neck, and a silver band on one of his fingers. He always carries around his light staff, glowing with a small crystal at the end, and always carries around a book, which he writes his findings and magic learnings in.

Origin: Unsure, his parents never told him. He grew up mostly in Syliras though, but they were travelers, much as he tends to do now. His adventures lead him to Zeltiva, where he is trying to get into the university.

Personality: He’s generally quiet, but only because he’s thinking about knew knowledge or other philosophical points. He’s very scholarly and as such, is inclined to teach whenever he gets the chance. He is also easy going and lighthearted, when he’s not lost in thought or books.

Character concept: He’s a practicing mage from a noble background, though is not noble now. He lives in Zeltiva and someday wants to be a teacher at a magic university of some such. He doesn’t do much physical fighting, or much fighting at all, but he is willing to deal some damage if the need arises. He’s practical and intelligent, always offering a hand when need be. He does tend to have a temper problem at times, but that rarely comes up.

Flaws: He tends to not eat or sleep when he finds something interesting he wants to look into, and as such, also tends to ignore people around him, no matter how close they are. He doesn’t let people very close to him to begin with though, or at least he hasn’t so far, not because he’s afraid of being hurt, but because they just tend to get in his way, and he doesn’t have much time for them.

History: Aram was raised by his two parents Siriann and Lucivron. For the first part of his childhood he grew up in an apartment in Syliras, until his parents fled for reasons unknown to him. They lived on the run for years after that, only staying in one place for months at a time. Though magic was never highly looked upon in the world around them, they encouraged Aram to practice magic, teaching him the basics of reimancy and auristics, as was their practices.

When Aram was 14 years old his parents apprenticed him to the mage Marhaz in secrecy, whom he spent his time with until Marhaz’s death when Aram was 26. Before his death, Marhaz and Aram ventured across the land, learning of new things as Aram continued with his studies as a mage apprentice. Marhaz was struck down by a raging Akalak, who hated all magic with a passion. Though the Akalak apologized afterwards (and with a different personality), Aram never forgave the Akalak race.

After leaving Riverfall he traveled to Zeltiva to continue his magical studies at the university. He has been living there for a little over a year now, focusing on his magic. He is skilled in the ways of auristics and reimancy, being able to control both fire and earth elements. He has the intention of learning many more kinds of magics eventually.

He is descended from the nobles before the Valterrian, and still carries a noble look to him, despite the fact that he is no longer noble, nor does anyone remember his bloodline.

Likes: He loves books and magical artifacts, he’s partial to pretty girls, but doesn’t find them necessary to life. His favorite spots are in bookstores, under trees, beside campfires, and libraries, if they can be found.

Dislikes: Noisy people, snakes, showgirls.

Fears: Powerlessness, execution, public humiliation, other minor things that don't or won't come up generally.

Gods: Qalaya - goddess of memory, Eyris - wisdom, knowledge goddess, gnora - logic order and balance goddess, Zulrav - air, Semele - earth, Makutsi - water, Ivak - fire
